The 2nd best team in the big ten gets a loss and a tie to the 7th ranked NCHC team. The same NCHC team that had just one win since late October (over the last place team in the conference).

The CBSSN deal plays absolutely zero role in any expansion of the NCHC. CBSSN has no say and the power of the TV network in restricting other broadcasts has been dialed back significantly. Anyone who claims it does clearly has no idea what they are taking about.

It's really tough for students to drive 20-30 minutes to get to an arena, especially in the winter in Colorado. Many of those students at CU and CSU will be driving right past the arenas on their way to the mountains. If it was on-campus, you'd have a lot more students in attendance. CC runs into the same problem, although their small enrollment also has a lot to do with it.

That's a good opportunity to dress a kid who wants to play goalie but doesn't have the skills. You win 13-6 it doesn't look so bad. So just confirming UND won last night right? I could have sworn by the activity in this thread that UND didn't beat an in-state rival by 18 points.

It's not included in season tickets so people have to pay $25 per ticket. For some people, that's too expensive especially if you have a family of 4.

That's weird... if you give the NCHC one more win in their overall records (you know since it's a bit close for comfort) they then have the same winning percentage as the Big10. I mean, after all, if the Big10 was in fact sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the NCHC (as one idiot loudmouth has been stating ad nauseum since he thankfully decided to switch fanbases) certainly that edge would be a bit more decisive than merely one game.

That could open a huge can of worms for NDSU/KVLY. If the conference is going to be consistent, Midco just received the ability to broadcast USD and SDSU games at NDSU despite not having an agreement with NDSU. It would be smart of Midco to force their way into those two games as it will split the watchers on KVLY. It will definitely give NDSU a bigger market as well but it could mean an all out battle for any game.
