Word from the Air Force athletic dept is that it is UND.
-
Then you should be proud that you went to one of the finest schools in the country that doesn't have an athletic program.
-
It's hilarious that you think you being a native actually has anything to do with you. It's all about your parents and grandparents living in Colorado.
-
"Not the worst place in the state" isn't saying a lot. I didn't realize I had to be from a place to realize that it's crappy. At least North Dakota doesn't have arrogant pricks like you who think they're better because their parents/grandparents decision. In any other state, you wouldn't be heralded as a pioneer, you'd be someone who needs to get out and explore. You're just lucky your family stayed in CO.
-
I'm sorry, I did get you two confused. I agree you haven't been a troll unlike Bison Dan. I guess I'm similar to the NCAA in how they see North Dakota they lump everything together, I saw Bison and lumped you two together.
-
Congrats on your parents and grandparents living in Colorado. Smart move by them. I'm hoping my eventual kids and grandkids will continue to live here too. However, we're talking about Greeley. On the front range Greeley and Pueblo are the butt of jokes for a reason and it has nothing to do with your crappy football team.
-
You said "Just mark it down as another classless move by UND's athletic dept....Hope they got a good look at it, probably be the one and only they handle." I read that as championship banner, not necessarily football. Yeah, it's in a football thread but we're talking about UND's athletic department, not UND's football team. I pointed out they've "handled" plenty of D1 championship banners so why would they need to "get a good look at it." I love that your post above starts out with "I honestly don't mean this as trolling..." which is hilarious because every single one of your posts is trolling.
-
With 7 D1 national championship banners already, I doubt the UND athletic dept is in awe of this FCS banner.

Every incoming freshman for UND next year played in a league that allows partial shields. Most of these players played in those leagues for 2+ years. They may have grown up with full shields or cages but there is a reason many players wear half shields in the ushl, ojhl, mjhl, bchl and sjhl.

So take your issue up with them. It's well out of UND's hands now.

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
southpaw replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
However, NDSU isn't bringing in a playoff team. It would be a cupcake of a team and they would be paying $200,000+ to get them to Fargo. -
But are they some of the finest? Or now since you have classified every college as fine, it doesn't matter how they're ranked.
-
So as long as the name goes to something you don't care if it's not UND's nickname? Find a peewee team, name them the Fighting Sioux and fetch will be happy!

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?

And I pointed out that NDSU doesn't lose the revenue from a home game, because they can still schedule two OOC home games in 2017. So, NDSU doesn't lose a home game in 2017. Makes more money if they charge a premium price for the UND game and doesn't have to pay $200,000 to bring a team in. Still a wash? -

I don't quite understand this from a Bison perspective, so can you please explain it a little further? I can see the point you make about the public relations/perception battle and that at this point it would benefit UND more than NDSU (although in three years, who knows where each program will be.) Financially, though I don't understand how it can be a wash. NDSU isn't paying to bring a team in for either 2015 nor 2017. That's $400,000 right there. Bump ticket prices $10 for the 15,000 non-student tickets (premium game) and that's another $150,000 more than what a regular game would earn the school. I admittedly don't know how much NDSU makes for a home-game against a cupcake team, but I would think it's not $550,000. Also, everyone is claiming that NDSU is giving away a home-game for 2017 by traveling to UND. With that being an 11 game season, that means 4 MWFC home games, 4 MWFC away games, one away OOC game, two home OOC games. 6 home games. If you're of the view that NDSU should play an FBS team every year, then I can see where that's an issue. However, not playing an FBS team once out of every four years isn't some huge deal, especially considering nobody knows where college football will be in 5 years. -
Oregon Board of Education votes to ban Native American mascots

Wow. -
How dare you offend Walmart workers with that comparison

Sorry no one cares what you say because you went back on your word and have no honor.

Key part of that phrase is right now, but the teams aren't playing right now. 3 years is a long ways away. -
Wow, you're really good at this jumping to over the top inaccurate conclusions thing. He never, ever even hinted at what you're accusing him of "saying." Apparently, pointing out that museum curators would probably do more than just put it in a case is the same as saying he wants to keep it hidden? I think if it's not going to be played for, then it should be displayed. Since UND won the last game, then it should be displayed at the Alerus or on the UND campus. In the past, the school that won the game got to do whatever they wanted to with it. This is exactly the same, as the school that won it last should get to do what they want with it.

Just another reason why this season is extremely important. There's a chance to make the dance in our first year in the big sky. But we have seen teams make the dance with a stacked lineup one year and the not get anywhere close the past few years.
-
How dare you reference the overall record. Don't you know only the last 50 years matter to a certain poster here?
-
Was the question "What were the Gopher defensemen with John Hill as coach?"
-
I don't know if anyone necessarily disagrees with you that it's going to be painful for schools. But we have already seen that tcu, Boise and etc don't get a shot at the national title. And who is to say they can't join a BCS conference? There is the potential for BCS conference schools to not stay in their conference.

I think most fans realize that on the offensive side, all we needed was a stud qb. Hopefully that plus the skill of the front 7 on D will lead to some unexpected victories. I know I'm excited to see the differences from last years game at UNC compared to this year.
