  1. Frattin with another goal last night in Winnipeg. He has 6 goals in 8 games this season. Pretty nice to see 3 former Sioux on the first page of the goal leaders page on NHL.com.
  2. JT Miller with 2 goals in his NHL debut last night.
  3. Great picture!
  4. Happened twice last year.
  5. Don't forget skating around the ice during the other team's player introductions. This team has done that for years.
  6. Friday - Parks Saturday - Grimaldi
  7. Only 3 people have signed up for this league so far. We need 9 more teams by Sunday. Drop me a PM with your email address if you want to join. This will be for bragging rights only so there is no cost to join.
  8. From INCH when Earl was drafted: ”
  9. I posted this in the NHL thread, but thought I'd start a topic so everybody saw it: I created a private league on CBS Sportsline for siouxsports.com members. If anybody is interested in joining, PM me your email address and I'll send out the invitation. Live online draft will be Sunday, January 27th at 9 pm central. Standard head-to-head format. First 12 people to sign up will be in.
  10. While this weekend's series will be fun to watch, in the grand scheme of things, it won't have much bearing on the NCAA tournament. Both teams should easily make the tournament this year. One thing to note, there is no regional in the Twin Cities this season. On that note, UMTC hasn't won a regional outside of the Twin Cities in 11 years. Their record is 0-4 in "road" regionals during that time. Their record is 3-0 when they get to play a regional at home. Will be interesting to see how it plays out for them this season.

  12. Nice work Big. Do you have any details of the different center/red line designs that UND has used over the years? Here's a picture from several years ago that shows a different design: I've always wondered why the Ralph doesn't incorporate some kind of unique design into the center line, like many arenas. Here's a blog that shows lot of the different designs in arenas around the country, and talks about why center lines are different to begin with (apparently it has to do with black & white TV): http://www.uni-watch...s-wide-variety/
  13. Same exact thing happened to my daughter, age 10, a few years ago at Marriucci.
  14. UND still gets the money for those tickets that were sold, don't they? To my earlier point, I don't see how UND has more to lose than UMTC by losing this rivalry (as the previous poster claims).
  15. Last year's exhibition vs. Regina had 11,576.
  16. I'm sure the weather had nothing to do with the lack of fans on Friday night. Many people come from several miles away to these games. Might want to check this link: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/almanac/attendance.php
  17. Not sure I understand. UND will still have 11,500 fans in the arena whether the opponent is Manitoba or UMTC. Which opposing team has brought the most Gopher fans into Marriuci the past 10 years?
  18. Just talked to Directv and they told me the price for NHL Center Ice would be 4 payments of $14.99 for this season. Under $60 for the rest of the season is not too bad if you ask me. While it's not free (that just wasn't going to happen), I don't have a problem paying this.
  19. Friday - Rocco Saturday - Rowney
  20. I would think Green Bay or Milwaukee would be logical choices for the new WCHA. Seems like that would be somewhat centrally located and would make driving an option for several schools' fans.
  21. This is what it says on the Directv site: NHL CENTER ICE is currently not for sale due to the lockout. As soon as a resolution occurs between the players and the owners, it will once again be available for sale. Considering games will be missed prior to the lock-out being resolved, an adjusted price will be determined when NHL CENTER ICE becomes available for purchase.
  22. Will sell these for $30 each.
  23. Section 107 Row H. $40 per ticket. PM or email me at fargosioux@cableone.net.
  24. St. Clair from Gaarder & Simpson.
