Just about to head back up...UND plays a complete "60 minutes" and earns for a 3-3 tie.

I'm not in the "Fire Hak" camp but I am in the camp that believes Berry definitely wasn't an upgrade to Eades and that the dump and chase with the personal that Hak has and has recruited and has lined up to come in isn't and won't be a system that works. I'm mean how many times can you ring it around the boards and not gain possession and have the puck come streaking back up the ice but yet UND kept doing it time and time again without any success...see last night's game. Oops...edit: See this season to date.

Personal attack? From whom? Just relaying something I heard first hand. We always hear from Hak about how he gets "character guys". Maybe this is an instance where pure talent outweighed character? BTW this same gentleman had absolutely nothing but positive things to say about Rodwell as a "person" but yet even when healthy he can't crack the lineup. Is it possible that some of this team's issues are "character" related?

IMO it was a huge mistake to push Eades out that door to begin with. Its not coincidence that he has turned around that SF team and their attendance is up over 60% since he took over.

On the Schmaltz front...talked to someone within the AD that knows him and didn't have one good word to say about him as a person.

This is big boy hockey even though I get these are student athletes so I will be blunt....when basically 3 of the worst players on the ice last night wear a letter vs a team like St L this team has ZERO chance. Not only was their play horrendous they also provided no leadership from a work ethic or accountability standpoint. IMO last night was the worst game I have seen our captain play in his career at UND.

I couldn't agree more...this team doesn't have dump and chase players. I go back to the square peg and round hole theory...it doesn't fit. 5x3 I believe it was Johnson who carried the puck down the right wall to the blue line STOPPED and dumped it in. Carry the frickin puck in!!!!!! There is obviously no freedom to deviate from Hak"s system for these guys. Problem is the "system" isn't working and won't work with these players. Right now UND has to be the easiest team for opponents to prepare for in the nation...bar none. They are real easy to play against. And on another side note of square peg round hole...how does Mitch go from top 6 with healthy bodies to suit with 3 forwards out? Never been a fan of his but again it makes one wonder what the heck does Hak think sometimes.

This program desperately misses a bench coach like Eades.

Just pulled into my home in Fargo after drive back from the Ralph...easily the worst home performance I've witnessed as a season ticket holder and this is after the St Cloud debacle last year. One word...embarrassing. Hak, Berry and Jackson are in full "shove round peg in square hole" mode with this team and "their" system.

At game...painful! We are not good in any phase so far.

There will be plenty of goals scored tonight IMO. Their goaltending is weak and UND's is inconsistent. At some point things have to click even if it's just on an occasional game basis...thinking tonight is one of those nights. 5-4 UND...Drake, Rocco, Tambo, Dillon and Luke. After yesterday's all day eating fest, trying to decide if I can handle the Red Pepper or Italian Moon pre-game!!!

If you carefully read what you have written, there in lies the problem. This isn't an anomaly with Hak's teams and their lack of success before the break...it's a definite trend. At some point with a little puck luck and/or our own "hot goalie", one would think one of his teams would surprise us all and get off to a really hot start...at least just once.

Bottom line this team needs to produce more goals on a consistent basis...especially when you give up roughly 3+ on a game. Now who is going to score them is the issue IMO.

Your Rocco>>>>Brock comparison? Really...pure goal scorers don't come thru UND often and as electric and dynamic as Rocco is your comparison is silly IMO. I would take that years Brock for this Rocco this weekend right now and would bet most here would too. Bottom line in hockey...getting pucks in the net. Talent wise probably but more doesn't equate into wins. Again "you play to win the game(s)". This falls on leadership and...wait for it...wait for it...coaching.

As far as Jackson...better to get out now if he has any reservations about sticking it out at UND cause the team doesn't need those types hanging around and then bolting later on.

Auburn plays Bama Saturday in SEC title and FBS Natty implications and this after Auburn went winless in the SEC last year. A different/new coach can make a huge difference...immediately in some instances.
