The next 48-72 hours will say more about the overall leadership of the AD and Faison than anything. Unfortunately this might not be just a Muss problem...

I talked to someone within the AD at the hockey game last night...he said he "wouldn't want to be in Muss's shoes right now"! Said issues are no organization and little preparation and discipline within the FB program. Did say Muss was a "great guy" though...for what that's worth.

Positive notes from the weekend...I thought Chyzyk held his own with Rocco and Drake. Gaarder is playing some of his best hockey right now and the 3 Fr Dman that played last night are going to be special in a couple years as is Johnson.

+1 to all of this. My opinion is simple after watching this team so far...it is the square peg trying to be jammed into the round hole scenario game after game after... Either Hak misrecruited talent to fit HIS system or HIS system doesn't fit the talent on the team. These players are not dump chase cycle guys. No Frattin, Malone, VV or Oshie types are on this squad. There is almost zero support on every dump and chase which leads to no cycle. They use at best 50% of the ice to break out the puck from the D zone...25% is along each wall. As the guy who sits behind me at games and is a much greater hockey mind says repeatedly..."UND tries to play a NHL system without NHL talent thru out the lineup and it's just not working"

Seriously?? Rodwell is a SENIOR...not a Fr. Walking in shoes, heels, sandles or barefoot doesn't negate the fact he took 2 "bad" penalties...as the radio guys called it post fame but commented they wanted to say dumb. If you are fighting to crack the lineup and stay in the lineup those type of plays will get you a suit back on quickly. If they have enough healthy bodies no way he plays Friday...and that was Wilbur's point. Got it???

I'm not a hockey mind at all but I do it's very difficult to try to always squeeze thru a UMD player and the boards when moving up the ice.

Take always from being at the Ralph last night... Clark was very very good...minus 20+ seconds. Rodwell played like he doesn't plan on wearing a suit again this year. UND gets zero momentum with speed heading into the O zone. Terrible transition from D zone thru neutral zone. Thought Chyzyk was solid w Rocco and Drake. In Hak's system he works in the corners and along walls well. Parks wrap around goal was how officiating needs to be...just make sure you get it right. Panz provides that much needed physicality on the blue line. Can't get a sweep without winning the series opener...good win. Channeling my inner Wilbur...Stecher a freshman...really?
