  1. I still don't think that this team is anywhere near a bubble team. They've proven against other top teams that they can play -- and beat -- them. Unfortunately, they've also proven that teams that relentlessly forecheck and pressure them like CC and UNO will have great success against UND. So who knows what we'll get once the NCAA tourney begins. The team that beat UMN, BU, WMU, DU, etc? Or the team that got swept by CC and UNO?
  2. It's gonna be one (or two) tough games regardless. IMO still a really good chance that they end up in SF. I am still betting that UNO doesn't make the tourney.
  3. If we finish this weekend with Britt's flukey goal last night as the only 5x5 goal scored, that's pretty brutal for sure.
  4. You mean shooting continually into the goalie's chest logo isn't gonna cut it?
  5. Haha. I can also 100% guarantee that not a single thing that I've ever read on a message board has ever pissed me off.
  6. Let's just take it one ledge jump at a time, please.
  7. I can 100% guarantee that not a single player or coach is worried about either of those things. But don't let that stop your rant.
  8. Turd of a period for the boys in green (EDIT: black). Didn't play completely horrible, but UNO gets a couple bounces go their way and they end up in the back of the net. UND dman at fault for that 2nd goal...what a horrible play to give UNO possession in the zone. UND needs to buckle down, otherwise we're limping into the playoffs.
  9. Some of those seniors could return for a 5th year, but yeah they'll lose a ton. Could see Wendt signing as a free agent too with how many goals he scored this season. They'll be like UND last season...they'll need to hit the portal hard.
  10. I’m an excellent 1-0 this season in starting game day threads. Let’s hope my awesome streak continues. If not, I’m done for the year. Go Sioux!
  11. He predicted a 3-2 Omaha win in game one. He also predicted a 4-1 UND win in game two. Let’s hope he’s right yet again.
  12. That’s the spirit!
  13. Yes, just not the final order for the 2-4.
  14. As gfh says, because of those nattys man! In all seriousness though, he’d have one less title to his credit if it weren’t for Hunwick stealing that game for Michigan during the Frattin year. I have zero doubt that UND would have crushed UMD in that title game.
  15. I really don’t understand UND’s issue with playing 5x3. Not even just this year, but past years as well. I don’t remember the last time UND scored a 5x3 goal. They couldn’t even hold the zone while down two men.
  16. I’d bet Karl gets it. Dane has been around forever but he’s almost the same age as Berry.
  17. Are you saying that tonight was a “big game”?
  18. I'm certainly not defending UNO at all, but they've been playing their best hockey of the year lately. They've only lost one game in their last 11 games. Swept SCSU, UMD, CC (a team that swept us), and Miami that time. Their only loss was against WMU.
  19. Even if DU jumps us tonight with a win, there's still plenty of time for movement, especially depending on who they might play in the Frozen Faceoff if they get past Miami. As we all mentioned this week leading up to this series...UNO had a LOT more to play for. I understand that UND needed to be playing for PWR seeding, but UNO was playing to continue their season. If they got swept this weekend, their only route into the tourney would have been winning the NCHC. That said, hopefully the boys come out with a bit more fire tomorrow and at least get the split.
  20. They're just staying in Omaha? I'd think they'd want to fly back before the Miami series next weekend.
  21. Now 1-1 CC/DU Laba scores one to tie Berg for the NCHC lead.
  22. 16sec into the game. Cmon CC.
  23. Only if it's a 5x3.
  24. They seem to be similar to ASU...such a dominant team at home, but struggle much more when playing away from Alfond. That won't help them come tourney time.
