I remember that game too. It followed a huge Fri night shutout win for the Sioux. Win the DU win last night, and the BC/UNH tie, the Sioux move into t13 in the PWR, t10 after the 3/2/1 bonus. They need to sweep Tech. They definitely have the ability, they just have to string together 6 good periods of solid hockey.

So if a #1 seed can't play a #4 in the first round if they are from the same conference, then how could UW get placed at REA if the Sioux are a #4 and UW is a #1? If things work out how you predict (with both UMN and UW getting #1 seeds and UND getting a #4 seed), then a different #1 seed would get sent to REA.

Has Conner been at Tech now for like 7 years? If I were Hakstol, I would play Lammy on Fri night to give Jordan a game off, then ride Parise through the playoffs, as he has shown that he brings his play to another level in the postseason.

That might be hard for him to figure out if he thinks that 23 years is "about as long" of a time as 17 years.

The only forward that may displace Toews would be Raymond from UMD. But they appear to be going in different directions right now, as Toews has caught fire and Raymond has cooled off significantly. I wouldn't be suprised to see the trio of Kessel, Toews, and Oshie as the 3 forwards on the Rookie Team.
