I can't believe that you're getting so worked up about a comment that was made during the Miller Time videos. Hextall was obviously kidding around with Eidsness during that video. Do you really think that Brad threw his stick, water bottle, and then threw a temper tantrum after Hextall scored on him in practice? If he did, it was probably done as a joke. From what I have seen of the kid on the ice DURING GAMES, he has remained calm and poised during pressure situations. I haven't seen him react differently, even when he has been scored upon. That said...all goalies are crazy to begin with, so yes, I would be comfortable with a headcase between the pipes.

So anyway.... back to that series this weekend with the Bulldogs.

You wonder about one of our most consistent forwards? He definitely plays with an edge...but not to the level of a Kaip or a Prpich. But he is already showing way more offensive upside as a freshmen than those two did. I'm not worried about him at all.

I don't think LaPoint is quite ready for the PP yet. He's still too tentative with the puck, which could lead to some odd man SH rushes going the other way. I think once he gains some more confidence with the puck later this season, then maybe pop him on the 2nd pp unit to see how he does. I think both him and Marto will be great dmen in the jr/sr years...

I would be fine with that with the teams on that schedule. Plus, if we can sneak a game out of CC, that could be 11-7. Let's hope they can do it.

I thought the Hextall/VV/Duncan line generated some good chances out there, especially considering that they were paired against UW's top line all game. I don't think Hextall looked out of place with those two at all, and he had an excellent shot hit the post right before Gregoire's GWG. Will he be on the top line all season? Probably not...heck, he probably won't be tomorrow night, but I wouldn't say that he played poorly up there.

Wasn't it our Captain Duncan that took a penalty in a 3-3 tie in the Saturday MSUM game with just a few minutes left? Of course, VV bailed him out there...

I think BSU is a good team from the CHA as well. They did just split with a strong SCSU team. OSU has the power of Hunter Bishop, but I was still surprised to see them hang with DU.

Yeah, I really didn't want a winless Badger team coming into the Ralph. Hopefully the Sioux forwards can exploit their young defense, as they have been having difficulties keeping teams below 5 goals/game so far.

BU seems to have already peaked! Nowhere to go but down for them. Makes the loss to them earlier this season a bit easier to take. UMass has been impressive as well, tying a strong UNH team.
