  1. UND 28 35 Denver 28 34 UW 28 34 UMN 28 33 UMD 28 31 CC 28 30 SCSU 28 29 Mankato 28 26 AA 28 19 MTech 28 9 Top 4: I have UND splitting with MSUM, CC, and UW, but sweeping UAA. I have DU splitting against CC, UW, and SCSU. I have UW splitting against DU, MSUM, and UND. I have UMN splitting against CC and UMD, but sweeping UAA and MTU. If the Sioux can get more than 2 points against MSUM, CC, or UW, I like their chances of taking home the MacNaughton. Any win is a good win at this point to help out our RPI/PWR and WCHA placement.
  2. Agreed. I think that BU could be Northeastern, but expecting Harvard to beat a (struggling) BC team is probably not something we can count on. Go Harvard!
  3. OSU wins 4-1 over ND. No help there either...
  4. UND now tied for 15th in the PWR with UW, but UW wins the RPI tiebreaker.
  5. Wow, those top three are running away with it. Hextall better pick it up if he wants to protect his "image" around the league.
  6. Hilarious. Speez will have to go see the movie now.
  7. It looks to be updated now. UMN drops to 10th. The Sioux could pass them if UMN keeps losing...
  8. From the games I watched: UW/UMN Despite outshooting the Badgers, the Gophers still have some glaring issues with defensive play and goaltending. For being such a shutdown goalie last season, Kangas has certainly nosedived. Two of the goals tonight were ones he for sure should have had. I really think that both his and the Gopher problems began with the shellacking that the Sioux put on them at the Ralph. They are a totally different team now than what I remember from earlier this year. Now we have to pass UW in the WCHA again...and a sweep by UW puts them even closer to us in the PWR. DU/UMD DU winning hurts us in the WCHA standings but helps us in the PWR. Still, they survived simply because UMD could not stop their PP. They can't give the DU players that much time and space on the PP...need to be more aggressive IMO. I really wouldn't mind seeing a split in this series. ND/OSU Notre Dame has really good puck movement on the PP, but didn't generate a lot of offense 5x5. OSU looked good as well, but them losing certainly helps us, so hopefully ND can sweep.
  9. Minneapolis Minnesota-Duluth vs. Cornell Northeastern vs. Minnesota Grand Rapids Bemidji State vs. Notre Dame Princeton vs. Michigan Bridgeport North Dakota vs. Vermont Yale vs. Miami Manchester RIT vs. Boston University New Hampshire vs. Denver If those were the brackets, I would really like our chances at making it back to the F4. Vermont is the weakest of the current #1 seeds, and I think UND (playing well) could take it to Miami. Tough bracket in Minneapolis. Grand Rapids would look to have a great all-CCHA regional final between Mich and ND. And Manchester has three quality teams as well.
  10. What about Oshie? 45pts his freshman season was hardly struggling. Unless you count the 11 games he played in the USHL after his HS season ended as not being straight from HS.
  11. Technically, they were face-to-face at the time.
  12. Forney update on the Sioux blog: Interesting.
  13. My favorite quote from that article: You feel great about taking one point from a team behind you in the standings? Good message coming from your team captain.
  14. "I want to watch the 1980 championship game...live." "I want to shop at Baby Gap...like Ryan Duncan." That show cracks me up.
  15. And now Conboy has left MSU after being suspended: http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/i...Suspension.html He was only a freshman this year.
  16. You just copied that from my response to redhawkman in the Miami thread on USCHO! I swear, that guy just hates the Sioux for no reason. I will laugh if the Sioux make the NCAA's, as he has been writing the Sioux off for months now.
  17. I don't really care that Gwoz didn't get suspended. I just wish that he would have been given an extra minor penalty for delay of game when he walked on the ice. A full 2min 5x3 PP for the Sioux there would have been nice... But wow, Conboy and Tropp suspended for the rest of the season...Comley is laying it down there. Nicely done.
  18. Impressive, especially being that it was at CC. The Tigers are tanking hard...something like 3-10 in their last 13 games. Kind of surprising given the talent on that roster...Bachman, Rau, Sweatt, Walsky. I guess they aren't getting any production aside from their top line and Bachman is not having a good soph season (compared to last year).
  19. From the given list, I would say either Panzer or Roche.
  20. I asked for five points. The Sioux couldn't do it though, they just don't have the talent to do that this year.
  21. I fully expect to see at least 3-4 of these "Earl-like" Roe dives. Go Sioux!! Also, go Seawolves, beat those Pios at least once!!
  22. I'm guessing the Friday night game will be joined in progress, since it only lists it from 8-10. They are replaying it as well from midnight to 2:30am.
  23. We already have another Toews. Players like Oshie, Parise, Toews, etc don't come around all that often. And often times, when they do, they opt for MJ instead of collegiate. How many current NCAA players would fall under the "uber-elite" recruit status? Maybe JVR, Wilson, Schroeder, etc? Not many. And chances are that all three will be playing AHL/NHL next season. I would love to see the Sioux land another Parise, but I also am excited to see what the current crop of recruits can do, because there are some high quality players in that bunch.
