I know that you hate those, but they count the same as those ugly ones. Great passing, and VV with a great move to finish it off. Another goal in the last minute of the period.
-
I guess goalies are allowed to jump on players after the whistle.
-
Sounded like there were alot of Sioux fans there after that goal.

Video doesn't look the best, but I'll take crappy video over audio anyday.
-
Those were posted by UMD radio announcer Bruce Ciskie, so they should be accurate.

I'd crap my pants. Which is nothing unusual for me, but I would do it for this as well.

Sounds good.

Got mine in the mail as well today! I'll have to pop in that DVD, see if there's anything good on there.

Playing in the Madison regional? With no UW present? And a first round game against Princeton? I'd take that situation in a heartbeat. Facing DU for the right to play in the F4 is a bit scary, but any #2 seed would be difficult. I like that bracket.

The new bracketology is up on USCHO: http://www.uscho.com/news/id,15328/Bracket...yFeb262008.html

It was posted over on USCHO.com that Hakstol mentioned on the radio this morning that Jones was progressing nicely and it is a possibility that he could play in Duluth.
-
Agreed. We would like to see the Sioux win the MacNaughton and get a #1 seed. The only problem with that is that CC would have to struggle for us to win the WCHA. That could potentially drop them to a #2 seed, which would probably mean that the Sioux would go there as a #1. I would much rather end up in WI having to face UW than CO to face CC.

Grafton Park River needed 6 players on the ice to do it though.

Getting closer between UND and UM. 10 first place votes. Gotta keep it rolling against UMD!

The WCHA schools are once again a cluster for the NCAA's. Here is the current PWR situation: 1 Mich 24 2 UNH 23 3 CC 22 4 UND 21 5 Miami 20 6 DU 19 7 MSU 16 8 BC 16 9 MSU-M 16 10 SCSU 15 11 Clark 14 12 Prince 12 13 UMD 11 14 ND 10 ------------- 15 Wisc 10 16 MN 10 So, UND is currently back as a #1 seed...and if the season ended tonight there would be 6 WCHA schools in the NCAA's. But...according to some posters on USCHO, when Princeton (#12) plays Clarkson, they will reach the "10 games against TUC" mark, which will lose them a bunch of comparisons regardless of if they win or lose. That would change the PWR to this: 1 Mich 24 2 UNH 23 3 CC 22 4 UND 21 5 Miami 20 6 DU 19 7 MSU 16 8 BC 16 9 MSU-M 16 10 SCSU 14 11 Wisc 12 12 Clark 12 13 UMD 12 14 Minn 11 ------------- 15 ND 10 16 Prince 9 Yes. You are seeing that correctly. That is 8 (!!!) WCHA schools in the NCAA's, barring any tournament upsets. Wow. Alot can, and will, change, but that is just crazy at this point in the season. Personally, I would rather see UW and UMN both miss the NCAA's, but that's just me.

Of course, not much of this game has been played 5x5.

Zach is having a very good year, 2nd in scoring leaders in all of MN HS hockey. http://www.geocities.com/dent0110/scoring2008regular.html He would be a great pickup for 2009 or 2010 after a season or two of juniors (he's currently a senior).

Mine is still working.

Ah, yes. I thought that Heisenberg's website might be wrong. On Heisenberg's spreadsheet, he has Schroeder listed as an 09. I thought he was an 08, but since he was listed as an 09, I didn't mention him. That said, I still like our incoming crop of forward recruits over almost any other team in the nation.
-
Ohio State? They have one good forward coming in 2008, and he used to be a Fighting Sioux. While UMN has a really good class for 2008, I think UND's is a notch above it. The Gophers have two defense studs in Ness and Lofquist, but I don't see another star-caliber player in their 2008 list. For UND's 08 class, Toews, Gregoire, and Cichy will be great, immediate-impact players. Then you throw in Hextall, Mario Lam, and strong dmen in either Gleason or Blood (or both). And then our goalie of the future in Eidsness. That is a hell of a class put together by Hakstol and Co. That said, I could care less where UND's class gets ranked, just as long as those players come in and contribute like I know that they are capable of.

End of 2nd at Mariucci. Gophers will start the 3rd with a PP. 3-0 still.
