  1. I plan on attending the F5 again this year, so count me in.
  2. I think that Kozek, Watkins, and Duncan will really develop into special players for the Sioux. I could see Duncan becoming much like a Panzer-like player. Of those possible recruits that you listed, I would like to see at least 2 of Mario, Marvin, Christian, and Willert in a Sioux uniform.
  3. What would you call Toews, Oshie, and Lee? The Sioux just brought in 13 freshmen, the next two recruiting classes will be small because of that.
  4. Congrats to the Sioux and Lammy! They finally get some goals to support him!
  5. Are you calling my dad old? UAA announcers trying to jinx Lammy by saying it a few times.
  6. I don't remember the exact years. But he is 58 years old, so whenever that was...
  7. So did my dad. And his twin sister attended St Mary's. Maybe you know him?
  8. They're ok.
  9. For as many times as that happens to the Sioux (repeated big saves by the goalie, then the other team scores), it's about time it happened for the Sioux.
  10. According to the UAA announcers, UAA is 'dominating' play so far this game.
  11. Agreed. The Sioux goal was a fluke, and UAA has held play despite being outshot by 5.
  12. Did they mention anything about how long he might be out for?
  13. Thanks for the recap from AK! Hakstol said the same thing about Watkins CFB penalty, felt it shouldn't have been a 5min, maybe not even a penalty at all. Agreed on the cowbells. That would annoy the hell out of me if I was trying to concentrate on the game.
  14. You expect the Sioux to go undefeated the rest of the season?
  15. That's an excellent road record. Hopefully they can keep it up for the 2nd half, as they have some tough roadtrips.
  16. I agree with your opinion. Oshie may not have as many points as other freshmen, but he works his butt off every shift to create chances for himself or his linemates. And he one of the best players that I have ever seen at forcing the other team to take penalties. I would love to see him get WCHA ROTY to reward him for all his hard work. My grades would pan out like this: Kessel: A-, Toews: B+, JJohnson: A, Lee: A-, Niskanen: B, Oshie: A+, Gergen: B+, Raymond: A-
  17. I can't see why the players wouldn't be able to play. They are in good shape, and should be able to play both games. Their energy is sorely needed on this Sioux team... Hopefully Oshie isn't seriously injured....
  18. While he is definitely a great freshman, and one of the hardest workers in the league, I don't see him going from high school to college to the NHL (or AHL) all in 3 years time. He may leave after next season if he keeps progressing like he has, but more than likely not after this season.
  19. The best thing for me was watching the reaction of the Russian players on the bench. They were all probably expecting to see Oshie get laid out, but that didn't happen!
  20. I agree that he is young and has lots of time to improve, but I was just expecting more from the 2nd overall pick from last year's draft. Usually with these young, talented players you can see flashes of brilliance mixed in with their youthfullness, but with Ryan I didn't see that. Granted, I have only seen him in two games, so I can hardly judge him based on that, but that is just what I saw from those two games. We'll see how he improves for next WJC.
  21. That looks to be a good start for next year's team. Am I the only one that was not impressed with Bobby Ryan? At times it looked like he had learned to skate just last year. Very slow moving around, errant passes, not covering his man in the defensive zone, etc. He was out on one of the USA PPs last night, and it looked like he almost single-handedly killed it off for the Russians by losing the puck over and over.
