  1. Honestly, I don't think anyone did. This team is just two weekends removed from the GLI debacle. How they could lay an egg against two of the worst teams in college hockey (this year) and then two weeks later destroy the #3 ranked team in two consecutive games is beyond me. Let's just hope that they don't resort to that type of play next weekend against Tech again.
  2. Win with class, lose with dignity. I'm not a fan of going onto the opposing teams' message board to rub it in their faces after a big weekend. I'll just enjoy this weekend now, as I am sure that the Sioux will faceoff against UMN again later this season. And I would highly doubt that we will hang six on them again...
  3. I'll reserve judgment until after next weekend's Tech series.
  4. Tech played DU tough this weekend. Took them to OT last night before losing. And then lost tonight 3-1 with an ENG for DU in the last minute. That said, if the Sioux play like they did against UMN, they should sweep them.
  5. AZSioux kicked his butt again in the picks for the week. Plus, the Sioux will only get two on Kangas each night, maximum.
  6. This is a really balanced Sioux team. All four lines contributed this weekend and played great together.
  7. Other scores: SCSU beat UMD 6-3 Miami's slide continues...Mich up 5-1 or something like that over them DU over MTU 2-1 in 3rd MSUM over CC 2-0 in 3rd BC loses to VT, 3-2 Hopefully UAA can beat UW tonight.
  8. Go Sioux! Keep it up against Tech...these are very valuable WCHA points.
  9. From Brad: No surprise, UND goes with the same lines. David Fischer is out for Minnesota with an injury. The Gophers also have dressed an extra forward according to the line chart, so they must be waiting until after pre-game skate to decide who is in. UND's lines 17 Jason Gregoire--16 Ryan Duncan--26 Brett Hextall 19 Evan Trupp--29 Chris VandeVelde--21 Matt Frattin 20 Matt Watkins--11 Darcy Zajac--8 Ryan Martens 10 Andrew Kozek--22 Brad Malone--18 David Toews 2 Joe Finley--5 Chay Genoway 3 Derrick LaPoint--25 Jake Marto 6 Zach Jones--14 Brad Miller 31 Brad Eidsness 30 Aaron Walski Scratches: Mario Lamoureux, Brent Davidson, Ben Blood, Corey Fienhage Minnesota's lines 29 Ryan Stoa--19 Jordan Schroeder--26 Jay Barriball 12 Tony Lucia--16 Mike Carman--22 Ryan Flynn 11 Mike Hoeffel--7 Patrick White--13 Nico Sacchetti 21 Jake Hansen--18 Nick Larson--14 Justin Bostrom 15 Joe Miller 10 Aaron Ness--6 R.J. Anderson 28 Cade Fairchild--2 Kevin Wehrs 27 Brian Schack--3 Sam Lofquist 33 Alex Kangas 35 Kent Patterson
  10. 45-24
  11. I missed the post-game interviews. Stoa said that the coaches told him to do it?
  12. Yeah they did. Great to see from this team...especially against UMN. What was with Stoa? I'm betting that Hextall was giving him an earful all game, and Stoa finally had to goon it up.
  13. I marked it down, but it didn't do much after he got pulled.
  14. UND >>> UMass C'mon Corbin, make the right decision.
  15. Nice detective work.
  16. Conversely, if the Gophers happened to get swept this weekend, it would remain a 5pt lead (depending on what MSUM does against CC this weekend). I highly doubt the Gophers will get swept this weekend, but anything is possible in the WCHA.
  17. MN Hockey Hub did articles on the top forward lines and the top defenses in MNHS hockey. Top Forward Lines
  18. AZ beat me to it.
  19. Far and away? The Gophers have a whopping 5 point lead on 7th place MSUM in the WCHA. Nothing is set in stone in the WCHA yet this year. All of the teams are still in the hunt for home ice aside from Tech, and no team has really come out and dominated conference play. If DU and UMN happen to have a couple bad weekends in a row, they could find themselves in 3rd or 4th place pretty easily.
  20. I wouldn't have even called it a fight.
  21. If I were Motzko, I would bench him anyway for a few more games to prove a point. He could have really let the team down if he would have been ineligible for the 2nd half. And really, how hard is it to keep a C average, especially with all the tutors and help available to student athletes...
  22. Really. He was no Wayne.
  23. I played hockey with Wayne Gretzky's son and two of his friends at University Park when the WJC was in GF. That was pretty cool, he was a nice kid... Not ripping on the kid, he was ok, but he was certainly no Wayne Gretzky on the ice. Although he was better than Gretzky (Kauk's friend).
  24. Do you hang out with strictly 2nd graders?
  25. Like Buffalo?
