  1. Sweet! Chorney! SCSU beats UMN 3-1 (with ENG).
  2. SCSU just went up on UMN 2-1 with under 2min to play.
  3. A penalty on VV because the Tech player tripped over his own skates. Seriously.
  4. Time for the refs to start calling all the clutching and give some PP's to the Sioux.
  5. Finley gets a penalty for a nice check. Hmm.
  6. Great defensive play by Kaip.
  7. Trupp has been all over the place so far. Good to see.
  8. There could have been 3 penalties on Tech on that shift alone.
  9. He is questionable for this weekend, but he did make the trip with the team. My guess is that they go with Nolan tonight and then decide on Saturday for the Saturday game.
  10. What does Berry have to do with Brian Lee getting chosen for the AHL All-Star game this year? If I were Lee, I'd be happy to be in the AHL too. Don't have to worry about constant criticism from those folks over on ss.com. Can't make those people happy!
  11. I don't see Lammy sitting this weekend. Maybe Walski plays a game against MSUM or UAA. It would be cool to see what he can do against a WCHA opponent. Especially being that he will be vying for the starting position next year with Eidsness.
  12. That is surprising, especially with how he's dominated at SSM this year. Maybe that will be good for the Sioux if he's not drafted in the 1st round...he might stick around for his JR season then.
  13. Really? They seemed to have netted a couple goals while playing together in this game.
  14. There's no way that he was 31 years old in 1979. Travis and Rose would come into the Hub in downtown GF when I was a bartender there a few years ago. Really nice people, and he would tell us some stories from his playing days at UND. But he looks like he's in his mid-40s, not almost 60.
  15. Don't listen to redwing, he doesn't know what he is talking about.
  16. I'll make it up to you MEggie. There's always the F5 and the F4. And maybe even the WCHA 1st round or the Regional.
  17. Don't worry, I wasn't ripping on Nolan at all. I just think that from what I've seen (limited viewing of course) that Teslak is the better of the two. And it probably doesn't matter who is in net for MTU. The Sioux sometimes have a habit of making a goalie look very good by shooting it directly into his chest, while other nights making him look foolish and hanging 5 or 6 goals on him. As I said on USCHO, I unfortunately won't be at the games this weekend. I am planning to attend the MSUM away series next weekend, and couldn't swing the time off from work to go to the MTU series as well. My apologies, MEggie.
  18. I agree about Nolan. Teslak is definitely the better of the two goalies for MTU. If Nolan has to start both games, that is only an advantage for the Sioux.
  19. You're worrying about a goalie that won't even suit up for the Sioux for another 9 months? He'll lose games, but I will bet that he will win us more. He's a quality goalie, and a better recruiting "get" than Greico was. I don't have any high expectations for the kid coming in as a freshman...he'll be thrown right in there with Phil gone, but I bet he will do just fine splitting time with Walski until one of them starts to get into a rhythm. I would love for him to turn out like Bachmann (Turner Overdrive) from CC, who's had a monster frosh year so far, but if he doesn't play like that right out of the gate I won't worry.
  20. A BU fan informed me of the same thing. It sounds like the Sioux will be in both the Ice Breaker and the GLI tourneys next year. That's cool, and that will give them the chance to play some good OOC teams for PWR implications. No cupcakes in either of those tourneys. And as we see this year, even with a .500 league record, as long as we play well against some quality OOC teams, we should be in good standing with the PWR.
  21. It was pretty much done after the 2nd.
