Sucks I couldn't make it, especially with how the turnout ended up. I wonder if next year we could get the GPL folks to join in again as well. The last few years when we skated against them there were always plenty of skaters.

Something makes me think this too. With how horrible our PP has looked the last few weeks, I find it hard to believe that Hakstol and Co. wouldn't work on it more or alter it somehow. It seems like they are just trying the same thing over and over, and it's not working. --The points pass it back and forth a couple times...then they switch...pass it to the circle, back to point, pass it back and forth a couple times...shot...off the opposition's shinpads...out of the zone. Rinse and repeat. I know these guys are capable of better. Maybe we'll see something different against UNH on Saturday.

This is a huge point. If we can match up our best defensive line against the JVR line and hopefully shut them down, that would be an enourmous help. That, and a PPG or two. And no SHG allowed.

Congrats to UMD. Some very impressive hockey from them in all three games. Sharp and Stalock are playing amazing right now, and could carry the Bulldogs to the F4.

Melrose said that they would get to the title game, but lose to BU. BU is everyone's favorite this year. Which is why they are going to lose to UND in NH this upcoming weekend.

I wonder how many UMN fans watched the show and were surprised that they didn't get in?

Looks like this is the popular choice for UND. Ouch. Playing the host team followed by a potential matchup against the #1 overall. Just ouch. If they get out of that regional, I'd be shocked...

Kozek was out on the PP during the 2nd period. Considering that the Sioux were on the PP for like 9min during the 2nd period, they had to put some fresh bodies out there. Stalock made some good saves, but he was also extremely lucky on a couple. I can't recall a game where pucks seemed to just bounce over sticks or take funny bounces on rebounds like this. Or how about VV getting that wide open net to look at in the 3rd, only to have the puck roll off his stick... The Sioux came out flying in the 3rd, looked like they really wanted to get back in the game. It just wasn't our game, and Stalock played well, as did the UMD defenders at clearing out rebounds. Go Sioux, beat the BADgers!

That's how I see it going down as well. I would guess that VV will be the only early departure for the Sioux this offseason. Hopefully he leaves with a NC ring.

Crap! I lied... Something came up at home, and I unfortunately have to be back in Madison earlier on Sunday, so I won't be able to attend the game. I'm very sorry about that...I hope you have at least 17 players show up (and a couple goalies). Thank you for getting the ice time setup regardless...
