I don't recall a single UND fan ever saying that titles don't matter. Most of what I have seen has been fans saying that it is harder to win titles now than in years past, for multiple reasons. Which is the truth. BC seems to be the lone exception with their recent dominance. That said, Hakstol has had a few teams (two in particular) that should have brought home the hardware, but just couldn't. Hopefully that will change soon.

It seems like a few on here have already begun their national search. Seven more years of no titles? I would personally be fine with moving on before that if that ends up being the case. Would the administration? That's another question. No losing seasons...25-30 wins a season probably means a couple league titles and playoff titles, just no natty. If attendance is still good and Hakstol wanted to stay, I'm not sure if they would make the call or not.

I honestly have no problem with people questioning Hakstol or any coach. Just the roller coaster ride that seems to follow some fans is just crazy. Everything is fine and dandy when the team is on its streak after the brutal SLU game...then all of a sudden it blows up here after one loss to UNO. Long term...while the fans would "demand" it sooner (heck, they already are!), but I would bet that Hakstol won't go anywhere unless he has a couple losing seasons in a row.

That's weak. I want to hear you yelling for Hakstol's head on the TV if we don't have the lead at any point in the weekend.
-
I wonder what some of these Blais-lovers would be saying if Dean had stayed here and had the same amount of "success" that he is having at UNO, but here instead. "Fire Blais, he sucks, the players won't play for him! They should have hired that up-and-coming head coaching ace, Dave Hakstol!" I enjoyed the Blais years at UND just as much as the next guy. But guess what? He's gone. He's not coming back. And for all we know, we'd still be at 7 national titles had he stayed. Time to move on.

The Official gfhockey vs Oxbow6 Financial Thread

How much money? Want to compare W2's? gfhockey has stated before that he makes $100k drilling oil. Too bad that none goes into retirement and some bars are now $98k richer. -

Things just got real. -
Haha. Bring Back Blais! The players will actually play for Blais! They like Hakstol, but they would murder kittens for Blais!

I didn't want people to get confused.

Sorry, I had to change the title of the thread. Had to "un-gfhockey" it a bit.

Fire Idelskee!

Sounds like they came out to play in the 3rd, good to see. Lots of posts and whiffed chances for the Sioux tonight, hopefully they can connect on a couple of those tomorrow. Nice game!

To be fair, I think that game was played without goalies and they were just playing pipes instead.

No killer jersey pop?

Might have to wait a couple weeks for that...

Gives the NCHC two more victories against a WCHA opponent. With the dismal OOC record for the NCHC thus far...any wins will help.

I noticed Rodwell a ton last night. Every shift he was out there causing some sort of pressure with his relentless speed. Certainly is good to see after he wasn't even in the lineup during the start of the year.

They have to win!! Same effort as tonight, I like this team's chances most nights.

Hard for any Sioux team to come home with 2 wins from Magness. I'll be very impressed if they can do it...
