Somehow Canada lost 6-3 to Finland today, but Reschny with a good game...2 primary assists on the 3 Canadian goals. Boisvert no points (2 PIM)...McKenna no points.

I'd imagine most forwards would love to play with a dman of DuPont's skill. He's only going to get them more points out there and help win games. Similar to the role that Buium played for DU. Or Hutson(s) for BU.

At first I thought it was due to the USA Team Blue and USA Team White, but today's lineup vs Sweden is a weird mix of both teams (even though the lineup says it is Team Blue).

A few names to remember on that list. Hopefully UND is in on a few of them, as I suspect that they are. DuPont is massive...possibly more so than McKenna...as I'm guessing that there's a good chance that DuPont plays 2 years in NCAA as a smaller Dman, while most would bet that McKenna is one and done. If Chyz can land DuPont, all bets are off.

What's your guess on that last spot? Pridham maybe? Wasn't Carels the rumored player that said he was coming to UND after the Reschny/Verhoeff commits?

Grubb, Zimm, and DuPont would be a nice Friday haul. To go along with Desnoyers to complete the 25/26 roster. One Bat Signal...four huge gets.

This is one stacked list of potentials for the Canada WJC team. Gonna be hard to beat them this winter with whatever lineup they trim this down to. Canada Red lines: Boisvert - Catton - Martone Reschny - Hage - Kindel Beaudoin - Vanacker - Martin Cootes Schaefer - Brunicke Aitcheson - Mews Reid - Gill George/Gardner Canada White lines: McKenna - Misa - Carbonneau Spence - Lindstrom - Ritchie Josephson - O’Brien - Parascak Wetsch Dickinson - Danford Smith - Elick Protz Ivankovic/Ravensbergen

Yeah, that'd be my guess as well. Could see UND snagging Grubb & Zimmerman off that list. Guys like Fitzhenry and Schneider would be great gets, but those would be huge steals from the MN schools and not sure if we're on their radar. Agreed that the Canadian list will have more options for UND.

Good sign, especially him and Bryn following each other. He’d be a nice candidate for a top 6 winger role on this year’s team. And, added bonus of taking a BU recruit after the Boisvert/OMac crap.

Zellers on the top PP unit for Team Blue. Mooney from UMN has had a nice game with a goal and nice assist.

Heil starts off the WJSS with a nice performance against Finland. Swanson was also on Team White and on their first PP unit. Team Blue is up next against Sweden. Zellers and Emery are on that team.

He had a great U17 tourney for Canada...on the same team as Verhoeff. Verhoeff was the leading Dman scorer for them...Preston was the leading goal scorer.

Agreed. I think it's a solid pickup. Now just still need to finalize this last forward spot. The more time that passes, the more that I think that the staff is just waiting out the last 1-2 blue chipper forwards. If one commits to UND, then great...if not, then they already have an older transfer waiting in the wings to sign (similar to how the Young announcement arrived just hours after the Martone --> MSU news was revealed).

I would guess we’ll have anywhere from 2-4 D openings next season. Livanavage, Wiebe, Zmolek, and Emery. Zmolek could use another medical redshirt for next year, but will he want to? Hard to say. Emery might get pressure to sign just because he’s a 1st rounder. That’s not even taking into account if someone like Strathmann or Jubenvill transfer out if they don’t get much playing time this year due to our stacked defense.
