  1. Nice article on Tim Hennessy, now in his 45th (!!!) year of calling UND hockey games: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/tim-hennessy-entering-45th-season-broadcasting-und-hockey-games
  2. Not a good result for Hockey East if those results all hold up. Certainly not complaining.
  3. And AIC up 3-2 on OSU as well. Couple upset alerts tonight.
  4. Lindenwood up 3-1 on UW right now.
  5. Nice little scuffle in the ASU/MI game after an ASU player leads with an elbow to the head of a MI player after lining him up from across the ice.
  6. Nice setup on that 2on1 for MI on that SHG...now up 2-0
  7. Alright they finally figured out the scoreboard/clock on the ASU/MI broadcast.
  8. 25 Most Intriguing NCAA Freshmen https://www.flohockey.tv/articles/12894283-james-hagens-leads-list-of-25-most-intriguing-freshmen-in-college-hockey
  9. What a snipe too.
  10. Congrats to Colten! But dang, that's some coaching turnover right there.
  11. I was plenty critical of the teams play in the Augie game thread. I just don’t feel the need to continue to pile on throughout the entire week.
  12. It is possible to expect more out of the program while at the same time not be re-hashing the same tired points over and over again for the last four pages. The season hasn't even started yet. The whole team and coaching staff has been preaching about how they have higher goals beyond the Penrose this season...which was met with enthusiastic "it's about time" comments around here. So the team is hoping to continually build throughout the season to hopefully peak in March/April. But yet one uninspired exhibition game and the people that "expect more of the program" are already jumping on the Fire Berry bandwagon. In early October.
  13. Let’s be honest, we all want the program to succeed and win national titles. It’s just that some of us don’t jump directly off the ledge after a poor showing in an exhibition game.
  14. Does that mean you won't be posting for awhile? That said, there's not a single UND fan on this forum that doesn't want the team to hang another green banner. So there's no need to continue trying to make that argument.
  15. Right?!? He has to at some point this season. He is way too talented to disappear for stretches at a time.
  16. Herald article about MacDonald and Komzak reuniting at UND after playing jr hockey together: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/caleb-macdonald-tanner-komzak-reunited-at-und
  17. 18. Maybe we did, but he wanted to carve his own path in college...similar to what Mac Swanson did even though his dad was a star at CC.
  19. Stonehill only won 2 games all of last season. They just won their first game of this season...in their first game...an OT win against Merrimack. SCSU up on STU, 1-0, after one.
  20. This is somewhat surprising. CC has nabbed a couple recruits this recruiting cycle that certainly could have come to UND with Lincoln Kuehne and now TJ Hale.
  21. Zellers is the real deal. Can't wait to see him in a UND uniform.
  22. This game happened about a year ago: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/box/final/20231027/aug/den/ Augie tied DU at Magness (in a game that mattered) and even scored 5 goals on Frozen Four MVP Matt Davis. DU's season ended up ok for them...so I have hope that UND can turn this one around as well.
  23. -Just so many poor choice / blind passes to nobody that killed rushes and turned it over to Augie. -Berg had the nice PP snipe but otherwise not much -Swanson looked good for game #1...I think he'll be a special player for 3-4 years in a UND uni -there is offensive skill on this team, they only seemed to appear for that one 2-3 min spurt...players like OMac, Perron, James, Strinden need to up their game from last year if this team wants to still be playing in April -TJ had an ok first game I thought...the nice breakaway save...might have wanted to control the rebound on that 1st goal better...but otherwise seemed capable Rough first game, but hopefully this team can turn it around quick, fix some issues, and come out with some fire against Providence.
