  1. They said that he was a healthy scratch...
  2. USA women up 2-0 over Sweden after 1 period. Monique had the 1st US goal...
  3. bertibm said this earlier in the thread:
  4. It's the truth because you hear it from your MN buddies? I agree with yzerman19...I don't care where the players come from...as long as they are good, quality players. I'm willing to bet that any Gophers fan would agree at this point as well after a few subpar seasons in a row. It's awesome to see local ND talent excel on the Sioux...the Panzer bros, Bina, Marto, etc. But I'll still enjoy watching the team and cheering them on regardless if they are from ND, MN, Canada, AZ, or Slovakia.
  5. And no penalty was called. So much for the zero tolerance on head hits.
  6. I like it, contributing on your first post. Welcome aboard.
  7. Brett Hextall = WCHA Offensive POTW? Brad Eidsness = WCHA Defensive POTW?
  8. From Jim's PWR forecast for this weekend: Step 1: Sweep UMD. Check UMN swept CC UML split with Maine Miami split with UNO VT lost and tied against UNH Merrimack swept UMass Yale beat both SLU and Clarkson All in all, definitely not a bad weekend for the Sioux, they got some good help from other schools, and most importantly...they swept the Bulldogs.
  9. Nice, Hakstol talking about the Marvin/Mario situation.
  10. Sweeney just said it wasn't. I believe they have a crappy webcast though with a floating Tiger head.
  11. UW just beat SCSU 7-4 and Roe got his butt kicked by Smith of UW at the end of the game.
  12. Great deke to blow by the dman and then snipe the goal. Two great shots for the Sioux goals...
  13. Doesn't matter to me. I just posted it here because no one had started a Sat thread yet.
  14. Brad has the lineups posted: Lammy in for Cichy. UMD scratched Dylan Olsen and stacks their top line. I'm surprised that Sandelin is sticking with Reiter again in net. UND's lines 17 Jason Gregoire--29 Chris VandeVelde--10 Corban Knight 19 Evan Trupp--22 Brad Malone--21 Matt Frattin 26 Brett Hextall--27 Carter Rowney--7 Danny Kristo 9 Mario Lamoureux--11 Darcy Zajac--13 Brett Bruneteau 2 Andrew MacWilliam--24 Ben Blood 3 Derrick LaPoint--25 Jake Marto 20 Joe Gleason--4 Corey Fienhage 31 Brad Eidsness 32 Aaron Dell Minnesota-Duluth's lines 22 Mike Connolly--12 Jack Connolly--37 Justin Fontaine 19 Rob Bordson--21 Travis Oleksuk--11 Kyle Schmidt 23 Jordan Fulton--7 Drew Akins--27 David Grun 20 Cody Danberg--15 Jake Hendrickson--17 Mike Seidel 6 Scott Kishel--24 Mike Montgomery 28 Wade Bergman--2 Brady Lamb 8 Drew Olson--26 Huttel 35 Kenny Reiter 30 Brady Hjelle
  15. This goalie recruit was talked about a bit on USCHO earlier this year with the UMN fans. The thinking on their end was that Patterson was upset about the promises for playing time this year (that have not happened) and may be bolting, leaving room for this goalie recruit.
  16. Brad reported that Cichy will be taking Mario's spot tonight against UMD. Cichy got it over Toews. I'm a little surprised that Toews hasn't played more recently. He has really progressed since last year IMO.
  17. Great to hear for Chay...not just hockey, but in general. It would probably take him awhile to get back into game shape...3 months off is quite a long time.
  18. Greene is hilarious. Love that episode.
  19. I don't think the Sioux absolutely need UMN to sweep CC in order to get home ice. Being that they play each other next week, that's where the big differences could come into play if UND can manage to sweep CC. Also, the last weekend CC plays DU, where UND gets MTU at home. If UND is within a couple points of CC entering that weekend, I like their chances.
