  1. Cool to see Trupper finish his degree as well!
  2. Nice job digging up a thread that hasn't been touched in weeks so that you could say nothing at all.
  3. I would bet that Gleason will be in the lineup regardless of if Jones comes or not. He's too dynamic of a player to keep out...I like him better as a dman just because he has the ability to easily skate the puck out of the d-zone if the pass isn't there.
  4. Hahahaha! Two for two on great posts for this newb here. Can't wait to see what other gems he/she can come up with!
  5. Count me in on the group that thinks this won't affect the Sioux much at all. We lost Lammy and Nelson. Gaining Chyzyk, Sanderson, maybe Caggiula, and then MacMillan at Xmas break. Not too mention Grimaldi and Rodwell back from injury. This will be a talented forward group with a few skilled players sitting out each game. Best of luck, Miles.
  6. I was humored by some of those GPL comments as well. I'm sure the sentiment will be opposite should Bjugstad decide to stick around for another season. Instead, the Gopher fans will say "he just wanted to wear the treasured M another season" instead of "I guess the pro interest wasn't there like expected" or something like that. Haha! Either way, I would agree with others that Danny will make quite a huge difference to UND's team next year. He was probably the best player on the ice in 80% of UND's games last year. His addition instantly brings UND up a notch or two...
  7. Doh! That's right, forgot about him when I added Sanderson. The Sioux are certainly not going to be lacking in players next season, unlike this year.

  9. My first reaction when I read this news: HOLY %^$! Did not expect this at all. Welcome back for another year, Danny.
  10. It's obvious...for the college hotties, of course.
  11. Have you already gone to GPL to inform all the Gopher fans? I sure hope so! It would be the typical thing to do.
  12. My thoughts exactly. Best of luck to Seth in the WHL.

    Jerseys

I wouldn't think many prospective recruits let the jersey design influence their decision much.
  14. Good for UND. Can't believe that MSUM picked Hastings though...I would guess he heads back to UNO in a few years when Blais retires. Then they'll just have to go through the whole process all over again.
  15. This would be impossible to ever prove. I think Mario was a good captain this year. The best ever? Not so sure about that.
  16. Exactly. Those Gopher fans aren't too bright though.
  17. Agreed that he won't be doing that for long once he arrives at UND. I would think that the only way Caggiula comes in this fall is if Kristo leaves, otherwise we'll be jammed at forward. Quite the difference from this year.
  18. Speaking of Caggiula... http://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=91016
  19. Losing Bennett as well really hurts DU. He probably would have been their offensive leader next season...and I didn't even think he was a possibility to leave after being injured almost all season.
  20. My guess is that Eades gets it. He's the only candidate that has actually come out and expressed interest in the position. He'd definitely be qualified. Then the question becomes...who does Hakstol get to replace him?
  21. Wonder why the family was pushing so hard? You think they'd want him to progress and get an education at the same time. Unless they really needed the money or something like that.
  22. Sioux recruit Chris Wilkie will be on the USA U17 team next season: http://www.usahockey.com/USANTDP/2013SecondCommitments.aspx
  23. I saw that as well. Forbort had a rough start to the season, and then had a setback with his injury at the WJC, but IMO he was one of our best dmen by the end of the season. Very consistent and good decisions with the puck. He'll be even more improved next season.
