  1. Maybe he's better than you at spelling errors?
  2. If UND ends up #1, they will play Robert Morris in the 1st round (or whoever the AHA auto bid is). Still a ton of season to be played. UND could end up as #1 overall or slip to a #2 seed. UMN could end up out of the tourney or as a #3 seed...who knows. Will be interesting to see how this tourney shapes up.
  3. It's essentially the NCHC saying..."oops, we screwed that one up"
  4. That big boy looks like he can barely skate.
  5. Sounds like a heck of a good plan to me.
  6. Go WMU! A WMU puts UND alone in 1st of the NCHC. UMN/UM score is surprising. Either someone lit a fire under UMN's skates or UM is having a bad game. I honestly wasn't that impressed with UMN last weekend against OSU so this is surprising.
  7. Yes! Go for the sweep tomorrow boys!!
  8. I think he was referring to while they are at school. Both schools have a great pool of talented players in the NHL, that's no surprise. But look at a guy like Rau. He was a very, very good freshman and sophomore. By now he should be a Hobey candidate type of player. What happened to him along the way?
  9. I don't think Boeser is a recruit we have to worry about losing to the WHL. Why go through all this of committing to UW, reopening his recruitment, and then visiting UMN, UW, and UND before committing again...only to go north?
  10. Oh my. That's beautiful. Kid's got sick hands.
  11. Hammy from GPL is saying that it was the turmoil amongst the staff/team that cost UMN in landing Boeser. His twitter is humorous.
  12. Holy crap. Really did not expect that. I completely thought he was UMN-bound. Crazy. Huge, huge....huge pickup for Hakstol and Co. With how much we lose up front next season, picking up this caliber of goal scorer is perfect. "Boeser from Schmaltz, GOAL!" Get ready.
  13. The 6 parents in the visiting section are bound to be loud and obnoxious.
  14. Ever since the LetsGoDU blog ran out of funding and closed up shop, this rivalry was bound to never be the same. Gwoz leaving certainly didn't help out either. I'd love to see a sweep of a ranked opponent by UND this weekend. Let's do it.
  15. I think if UND ends up #2-#4 overall and UMN stays a 4 seed...I agree that they end up in Fargo. If UND ends up #1 overall, then I don't think we see UMN first round, they'll get the AHA auto. I could either see UMN missing the tourney entirely, or moving up enough to be a 3 seed. All those teams on the bubble are so close together...
  16. Hopefully UND can keep playing well, and if MSUM falters a little we could take over the #1 seed. Playing RMU in the 1st round sounds way more appealing than playing the other tough teams that are currently 4 seeds. Honestly, Moy's original bracket was good and had perfect bracket integrity: East Regional (Providence): 14 Minnesota vs. 3 Boston University 11 Boston College vs. 6 Michigan Tech Northeast Regional (Manchester): 13 Quinnipiac vs. 4 Omaha 12 Michigan vs. 5 Minnesota-Duluth Midwest Regional (South Bend): 16 Robert Morris vs. 1 Minnesota State 9 Denver vs. 8 Bowling Green West Regional (Fargo): 15 Massachusetts-Lowell vs. 2 North Dakota 10 Providence vs. 7 Miami West regional is sold out regardless with UND there...so there's no reason to move another fanbase that travels well (UMN) into that regional as well. Tickets would be impossible (or even more so). East regional would still be good for attendance with BC/BU there.
  17. That's really the only selling point. That, and maybe being able to join a program at their entry into D1. This is not a hockey town, that's for sure. Anyone coming from Canada or the Midwest or New England will miss the hockey culture/outdoor ice/etc...I certainly know that I do. I can definitely see ASU becoming decent in D1 within 5 years or so...but I just don't see them becoming a power.
  18. Speaking of awful, those Miami jerseys are hideous, and when combined with those horrible socks...ouch. Simply horrendous. Also, remember when Harvard was threatening for a #1 seed? They're in a mega-freefall right now. After starting the season 10-1-2, they are now 12-8-2...so they've gone 2-7 over their last nine games. They are down to #15t in the Pairwise. Ouch.
  19. Still an uphill battle to make the NCAA's, but that win certainly helped. A sweep would do wonders, but you know UMN is going to be ticked. Plus, when was the last time UMN was swept? Makes you wonder what the heck was going on earlier this season. If they can beat UMN like this, how were they losing to Syracuse and being swept by BSU?
  20. Wow, did not expect that, excellent job ladies!!
  21. I really don't see them ever landing the WJC, attendance would be horrible when compared with other US options. That said, I bet they could get a F4 bid. Especially now that ASU is NCAA. If Tampa can get a bid, Phx certainly could. Would be nice to have it so close!
  22. I didn't mind the Target Center. It was certainly no X, but I went into the tourney with the mindset that I knew it wasn't going to be...so myself and my two friends that came with me all had a fine time.
