UNO coughed that one up nicely...UMD with 4 goals in the 3rd.
-
UNO up 2-1 with a PPG...5min left in 1st
-
He'll be another good UNO player with ties to UND hockey.
-
NCHC hockey is back! 1-1 UMD/UNO in the 1st.
-
The upper B10 teams look to be higher end this year, with Michigan, UMN, and UW all looking good out of the gates. But they sure do have some cream puff teams at the bottom of the conference.

LIU wins their first game in their very first game played. Crazy how quickly that program came together, especially in the middle of a pandemic. They were outshot 41-15 by Holy Cross but still won in OT. ASU and MSU tie, 1-1. UMN beats PSU, 4-1. Michigan remains undefeated, beating UW 5-2.

I just attempted to login and it worked fine. I haven't logged in since the abrupt end to last season. It lists all the games...first UND game shows as Dec 2 2:35pm against Miami...second game Dec 4 6:35pm against Denver.

https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2020/11/18_What-Will-This-Season-Look.php I did get a chuckle out of this: Of course that won't be a challenge for UMN, they play in front of no fans all the time at home.

I feel that Union and RPI were both foregone conclusions, after that CHN article that said RPI hadn't even practiced yet and Union only had one game scheduled against LIU. Hopefully the rest of the teams can have some sort of season...crossing fingers.
-
RPI shutting their season down isn't a surprise...earlier it was mentioned that they hadn't even been practicing. We'll see what happens with the rest of the teams...hopefully the remaining teams can stay healthy and be allowed to complete the season.

Michigan sweeps ASU winning tonight 3-0. Outshot them 47-17 too.

Welcome to league play, Arizona State. In all seriousness, that Michigan team is loaded with high end talent...their big three stud freshmen Powers/Johnson/Beniers combined for 9 points in their collegiate debuts. If anything, the shorter season will benefit them, as it seems that high end freshmen sometimes get worn down throughout the college season (see past young loaded teams like UW last season and BU a couple years ago). It'd be a good matchup between UND's experienced team and them if they happen to meet in the NCAA's (assuming the season gets that far, of course).

UAA cancels their season as well, bringing the total to 8 schools done for the year: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2020/11/13_Alaska-Anchorage-Latest-to.php

Wow, college hockey! It's been so long. Also, Bowling Green is beating up on Rocky's wife, 4-0 in the 2nd.

CHN article on recruiting classes: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2020/11/09_Fresh-Faces-For-2020-21.php Spotlights both Gaber and Sanderson, and ranks UND as the #2 recruiting class this year, behind only Michigan's stacked incoming class. -

2020-21 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

I wouldn’t use them cancelling an exhibition as a sign of no hockey this year. We’ll see if the B10 games scheduled for mid November happen or not. -
Are we looking at the Matrix here?
-
Has this been finalized? I know that it had been discussed, but hadn't heard if it was a final decision. Could you imagine a player like Kawaguchi getting a 5th year?

2020-21 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

UND is just a farm team for the Senators at this point. -
Yeah I've been wondering that as well.
-
Looks like the article was updated...UAA is still playing the upcoming 20/21 season (whatever that might look like), but the program will be done after that.
-
UAA dropped their men's hockey program for financial reasons. The writing has been on the wall for the UAA (and possibly UAF) for awhile now, but that's tough for them. I always wanted to make that roadtrip when UAA and UND were both still in the WCHA. RIP UAA
