Wish I had some news to share, but I don't. There are a couple FBS backs that we have interest in as noted by the SFI guys. If I had to guess, I think we will snag one of them.

I'd heard we had the potential to get said transfer, but didn't know that it was blocked. That's rediculous.

They have invited him to campus and have been in contact with him. Very good player. I'm guessing he will get some bigger offers after camp season.

i will say the name I heard is not on the Spring roster.

Parks was discussed at one time I believe for a mid year transfer but ended up not happening. Believe it is a LB/FB currently on campus.

Well, one of the two potential FBS transfers that I'm aware of they are hoping to land definitely does not add to the size of our roster - but he would definitely add speed.

Hooker played at Park Center, not Osseo. Unless he played there earlier in HS. Did they play AAU together?

Shields and Coleman are on the list thus far.

Based on what I'm able to gather UND is not recruiting Mephors. So I think we can disregard this.

He was a guy I was surprised we got as a PWO. I think he was a bit overshadowed by his linemate at Chanhassen (name is escaping me - signed with Arkansas). Very bright kid and I could easily see him at center.

My thoughts too. Another thing I heard is Dranka is now over 250 and they are expecting really big things from him this year.

Looks like they updated Cox, no? Up to 285. Also looks like Jacob Francis was bumped up to 290.

I personally think it will end up Rough Riders (which I have a hard time stomaching), but I would love it to be the Fighting Norsemen or Norse. Surprisingly, what started as a joke in my mind (not sure it was ever brought up in the nicknames thread - didn't keep up on that one too much) but has grown on me as I've thought about it more is Beet Diggers (Diggers for short). Seems kind of lame right away, but the more I thought about it the more I think I like it. Don't think it would resonate with the college/HS aged kids so seems pretty far fetched......

Maybe a little, but we did sign a home/home with them in FB so maybe basketball isn't too far behind.

Re: USD, I'm wondering if there is still a little bit of issues due to the whole Big Sky/Summit fiasco. No other reason not to have them. Agreed that I'd like to see the other three Dakota schools on the schedule every year. Then sprinkle in some pay games, MVC and/or Horizon teams and some trourneys. Easier said than done, I guess.......

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the OL shakes out this spring. Which younger players made the most improvements? Will Camy step in and be the bulldozer that he looks like? Will Stockwell be healthy enough (and talented enough, for that matter) to take over the LT spot for the next three years? Will the returning starters get pushed and in some cases surpassed by the youngins? And, once we get the True Freshmen on campus, will any of them push for time and get their shirt pulled? Can't wait!
