I'm getting really sick of this defense. Toews lives in the US. He knows what the laws are here. What he can do legally in Canada is totally irrelevant.

My wife and I took my parents to the SPA production of the "Keep the Faith" musical Thursday night at the Chester Fritz. I thought I'd gotten over the flood a long time ago, but it was obviously a very moving experience for many in the audience. If you saw the original production, this one is better in some ways. If you didn't, I urge you to go.

I don't remember that happening. I know some tribal leaders have been critical of money being spent on the lawsuit, but I don't recall anyone saying that they should get the money instead.

You're reading way too much into this. There are Sioux logos throughout the story. The story opens with a shot of Duncan standing beneath 13 banners with logos on them. He's shown on the ice with his teammates in their uniforms with Sioux logos on them. If the station was trying to avoid showing the Sioux name and logo, they did a pretty poor job of it.

Why are we still taking about this? None of us knows enough to understand what was best for Tyler Hirsch. I think it's great that Lucia gave him another chance and I'm sorry that -- for whatever reason -- it didn't work out.

You're obviously free to disapprove of the lawsuit all you want. Just don't pretend that it's your money or the public's money being spent on it. Here's an idea. Why don't you post a list of causes to which you contribute and we can all pass judgement on whether or not you're wasting your money? Oh no! You're playing the poly sci card again! For Sioux fans in the Twin Cities, KSTP-TV is doing a profile on Ryan Duncan that should run on the 6 p.m. news tonight. The story or another version of it might also run on KSTP's 10 p.m. Sunday newscast. The station will be posting a longer version of the story on its Web site within the next few days.

It was mostly the same, but the one shown at fan appreciation night had footage of Duncan getting the Hobey and scenes of Porter and Fabian doing their final skate at REA. Those are the two primary differences I remember.
