This team lost five players early last season. It's been losing players early for the past several seasons. It's not as if this is the first time it's happened. I know you consider yourself the voice of enlightment, but you're not telling us anything we didn't already know.

I got that. I really did. But I don't think the conclusion proudsioux reached (Toews is gone) was reasonable based on what Hak said or which player agreed to come back at what time.

Certainly nothing is guaranteed. However, there's a difference between saying "I plan to return" when nobody has yet offered you a deal and "I'm coming back" after you've turned one down.

No, I'm old and pretty slow. You better explain it to me. Hakstol stated that Toews and Lee would be taking longer to make their decisions. He also said that each case for each player was different. Does that mean that Toews is staying? No. Does it mean that it's reasonable to conclude that he's leaving? No. Is it reasonable to conclude that because every player who might leave didn't announce his decision at the same time as Duncan and Chorney is automatically leaving? No.

I don't read it that way at all. Remember, at the time Hak was speaking, he knew Duncan, Oshie and Chorney had already agreed to return. When he said there will be a couple of others, he meant a couple of others in addition to those three. He specifically mentioned Toews and Lee as needing longer to decide. They would be the "couple of others."

Did you read the recap? Hakstol said that Toews and Lee have not made their decisions yet.

Hakstol was talking about Oshie, Duncan and Chorney. He specifically said that Toews and Lee would take longer to make their decisons. The whole show was a bit confusing because Hennessy and Hakstol spoke as if Oshie hadn't told anybody about his plans to return. Obviously, he has. They apparently hadn't heard about it.

No. Hakstol and Hennessy said there were three players who've said they were coming back. Two of them had already announced their intentions and the third soon would be. Apparently nobody on the show knew that Oshie today publicly stated his intention to return. So the three players we know about (Duncan, Chorney and Oshie) are the three they were talking about. Hakstol said it would take a bit longer for Lee and Toews to decide.

I don't get it. Who was the judge?
