probably wouldn't call them elite, but drew fischer is from int. falls and pat white is from grand rapids, both "northerners".

i won't be the third person to point out he is a huskies recruit, but i think we missed out on a solid goaltender in lee. it may have come down to the fact that he wanted to come in after one year of juniors, and the sioux would have preferred him to come in after two, so that he and eidsness were two years apart? i know he is one of the frontrunners to be one of the goalies for next years world junior team, and he is having a very solid ushl campaign despite being on a poor team. the fact of the matter is we have a very solid goalie who will hopefully stay with us for four years. eids is the real deal, so i guess we can't lament losing lee too much.

there was one with a AAA midget jacket on outside our section before the game. #21 on the sleeve. didn't see a name. possibly corbin? would be tough for anyone to match that atmosphere last night.

stoa was trying to be a leader, unfortunately that is not a strong suit of the goofer program. if you want to stand up for your team, do it while the guy is face to face. don't cross check him in the head while he is laying on the ice. i can't wait for tonight. i am waiting to see if any of the goofers are man enough to drop em and show what their made of. i was at the game and couple of things... stoa is a very talented player who im sure was trying to get his team motivated for tonights game, don't really have a problem with it, and shep the idiot even got it right and gave him four minutes. i love hextall, he's all over the ice, and gets in the other teams head (obviously) like prp used to. it obviously took the goofs off their game. there WILL be fireworks tonight, guaranteed, my bet is on the maloney pony or hex finishing what stoa started last night. i can't believe what was said on fsn after the game?!? that is classless. coaches sending players out to hurt other players, then wooger saying good for you?!? i now have lost any respect i had for wooger, he's back on par with masucko and puffy. and it's not like the goofs were innocent in all this. lucia and lofquist were yapping every whistle. i can't wait for tonight. it has to be pretty nasty for them to shut down the interstates... but that being said, i-29 from fargo to gf seems to be closed once or twice a winter.

i may be reading it wrong... but it says no open fires or charcoal grills. to me that would not include a propane grill, as it is neither an open fire or charcoal fueled? i say bring your grills (providing you know how to use it... that story is a little scary to me, i mean it isn't that difficult to attach a propane tank to a grill?). so have fun, bring your grills and a copy of those rules, stay warm, and get ready to cheer on the sioux!! come on rea, it's goofer weekend!!

as fun as the rivalry is, i sure hope coach lucia makes a quick return. hopefully nothing bad, hate to see that happen to anyone in the college hockey world.
