Oh, I think Norman is going to be a big loss for UND. Maybe others can fill part of that role. But, pure shooter is missing.
-
LOL, I thought that I was the only Jethro that did that.. I used Colgate because it was white and matched the wall color. Crest light mint green was too obvious.

Alerus Center with more improvements that will help.

You are assuming that SCSU was ever an educational institution.

Could there be some naming rights for Phase II being discussed as part of this contract.

It looks like the wiki uses a different system for input. I think it comes from - Public NTSE Tables (nacubo.org) Not sure what the reporting differences are.. But, I already feel like I am too deep into the weeds. Tapping out on this one, just wanted to square up the conversation that I appeared to start. Sorry, if I caused turbulence on this topic.

Since I was on the site a couple of others for reference: NDSU - 596,239,920 Wyoming (2020) - 580,989,996 UND - $509,567,035 Idaho - 429,288,893 USD - 354,609,394 SDSU - 333,342,228 Montana (2020) - 325,214,671 Montana St (2020) - 310,930,064

The "State of Ohio" and "Pound Helmet" are weak. The others are nice.

Fun video, I kind of wonder if St. John's would be interested in a move similar to what St. Thomas did now that a process is in place. Maybe tSL leadership should check the temperature on that option. A tSL football conference with the rivalries of SJU/StT, UND/NDSU, USD/SDSU and the other combinations would be fun.
-
So, you would have: Hockey: Summit - Omaha/Denver/UND/StT (4) Non Summit - SCSU/CC/UMD/WM/UM (5) Football: USD/SDSU/UND/NDSU/StT (5)
-
If the NCHC is bringing in another school with ASU. I would hope that it would be St. Thomas hockey. Or I would be all in favor of kicking St. Cloud out - they should have never been included to start with.
-
Oh yeah, I get the Summit League. I was never a fan of moving to the Summit League. But, there is going to be a lot of movement in the West this time. So, you are going to see opportunities popping up that were not possible before. If the 4 Dakota schools are not locked together. Then UND made a major strategic blunder.

Interesting thoughts, but I would think that targeting Utah (SLC) and ASU (PHX) would be more impactful. College Athletics is about football and football is about rivalries. And those two bring the rivalries back with 'zona and BYU. Plus, it might help with state politics also.

I thought that this was interesting: UND Softball Complex: A donor has committed up to $2.5 million of the estimated $4.5 million for the UND Softball Complex.

Yes, I believe that he is working for the Regional Fed Bank now.

No way Boise is going with this and I would drop ISU and add Cal Davis (football affiliate) and 2 basketball only - say Denver/Seattle. You have 9 football and 10 Basketball with reasonable travel partners given its in the Western part of the country. If USD would have joined the Big Sky when UND joined. This would have had realistic change. I think this is what Doug Fullerton had in mind when you brought in the UxD. But xSDU and USD were following the visionary - Patty Viverito - the commissioner that does care that one of her conference teams had to go on the road and literally got jobbed by the Playoff Committee.

Once it was clear that a move to the MVC was not on the table for the Dakota schools. tSL Dakota schools were left with two long term solutions: 1) Move to an all sports (Football/Olympic Sports) conference ie Big Sky, 2) Move tSL toward an all sports conference (Football/Olympic Sports plus hockey). When UND moved to tSL it made it clear to me that option 2 was the goal. If it is not... UND made a major mistake and they are now stuck. Only a major shakeup at the FBS level is going to provide an opportunity to solve this problem.

Good way to learn another teams offense.

I believe that there were some politics involved with Texas using it's influence to push Nebraska out. I believe that most of the issues was around the State of Nebraska moving the Medical School to a separate entity versus being under UNL. I believe that Syracuse also left that year questioning the politics of the organization. Since then Iowa St. has left AAU also. Not sure what the kerfuffle is all about. But, there have several articles in the news recently about redefining the definitions around AAU status.

Maybe they should reach out to Colorado School of Mines - R1 School just outside of Denver. Of course, they would need to workout a few historical issues. But, I have to say - I am all in favor of a school that wants to blow DU up (I kid sort of). Colorado School of Mines - University of Denver War[edit] Tensions between the Colorado School of Mines and University of Denver, locked in a bitter rivalry, boiled over in 1919 when the Orediggers heard of a plot to deface the M. In retaliation to the plot, students from the Colorado School of Mines planted bundles of dynamite on the DU campus which, when detonated in the early morning, blew out windows in many buildings, and cracked the DU administration building.[15] The chancellor of DU stated "“If all the dynamite planted on our campus had exploded simultaneously, it would have knocked down our buildings and destroyed life."[16] Posters were found across the DU campus stating "Get DU and then what? Give 'Em hell Mines." In the evening of the bombing, students left DU with crimson paint, the school colors of the University of Denver, to paint the M. Expecting an response from DU, the Colorado School of Mines had set up a patrols on Mount Zion, and after a brief gunfight, the DU students were captured. No one was injured. The prisoners were kept in the basement of various fraternity houses where their foreheads were branded with silver nitrate in the shape of an M. The students of the School of Mines also lured an Denver Post reporter who was subjected to the same treatment, less the branding, for his supposed slanderous reporting. The Colorado School of Mines students paraded their prisoners down the streets of Golden, and implemented armed patrols of Mount Zion, claiming the right to search all vehicles for concealed DU students. CSM President, Victor C. Alderson, gave official sanction to the actions of the Colorado School of Mines students, however the Colorado governor, Oliver Shoup asked the schools to seek an truce. Representatives from both schools agreed to an cease and opted for a game of football to settle the conflict. The game was played on a blizzardy day, and resulted in an 0-0 tie.[15] The disgruntled DU students later planted dynamite on the M, but misplacement led to only a small part of the M being damaged. Colorado School of Mines students contemplated kidnapping select DU students to act as the manual labor to repair the M, but it was never seen through due to the grand jury investigation, and the possibility of mutually assured destruction.

It has some parts.. and I believe that it is a bit dated. I can check it out tonight and post.
