  1. Is there a presale for Champions Club members?
  2. I think that UND gets a win today. And I looked to see how Rebraca was doing at Iowa. Here are his last 5 games. Not too bad. I am happy to see him performing for his new school. That was a nice stat line in the Minnesota game. 3. Exactly, both of those game were awesome... USD games the second half was incrediable - was that the game where the defense had the goal line stand - Brock B. destroyed the guard for USD on multiple plays. I was shocked on 4th down when they went that direction again.
  4. FYI, I think they just finished paying for the Betty a year or two ago. So, it not like the athletic department has not been investing in facilities for basketball.
  5. For me Sather easily gets two more years. As far as facilities goes, I agree UND needs to put some money into Basketball to get back to the top of the league. But, I think that is after the Phase II is built. - USD - new - Omaha - new - NDSU - recent facilities updates - SDSU - being built - ORU - being built - DU/UND - I assume OK on par with UND. - STU - planning stage - WIU - UND much better - UMKC - UND much better So, in three or four years, UND will be near the bottom of the league which is actually very impressive because UND has nice facilities. The Summit League schools are investing in Basketball which is a good thing. Note: I have read that UMKC made facility promises to the MVC if they were selected. So, do they still plan on moving forward with that or not. I am not sure.
  6. OK, let see Vikings want to complete 2nd interview with Poles and Mensah. Chicago jumps in line and signs Poles. The Viking say OK, I guess we will hire Mensah - no 2nd interview required. So, the Vikes just handed the job to a guy with the following: 1) Commodities trader. 2) Sports background - Basketball 3) Ivy League and Stanford education - can it get any worse. 4) 8 years NFL front office experience. He is going to pack the front office with Ivy League personal. What could go wrong with this - sounds like a great plan. Hope it works out.
  7. Three mens Summit League games tonight - UND vs ORU, SDSU vs StT, UMKC vs NDSU - none of them are on ESPN+. Plus, the Summit League Tournament is being covered by KELO starting this year - no more Midco.
  8. I took this from another site (AGS) and thought that this would add information to the discuss arounds budgets. Disclaimer: more than likely much of the accounting is simply transfers between departments at each school. So, what is really in those numbers is kind of unknown more than likely not consistent between all schools. MVFC North Dakota State $6,048,728 North Dakota $4,965,053 Illinois State $4,429,532 Youngstown State $4,349,972 Northern Iowa $4,281,286 Indiana State $4,256,090 Southern Illinois $4,212,321 South Dakota $4,031,135 South Dakota State $3,950,727 Missouri State $3,846,066 Murray State $3,514,694 Western Illinois $3,100,811 Big Sky Montana State $6,955,242 Eastern Washington $6,739,278 UC Davis $5,754,648 Montana $5,747,021 Sacramento State $5,515,779 Northern Arizona $5,002,914 Cal Poly $4,546,931 Weber State $4,092,794 Portland State $4,092,668 Idaho State $3,993,358 Northern Colorado $3,882,353 Southern Utah $3,762,056
  9. Wow, blast from the past.. he was fun to watch - loved that UNI game.
  10. I thought that espn+ had all Summit League games - what changed.
  11. hmmm not so fast: Fr - Crandall, Shields So - Hooker, Senior - Nash (I will watch those four over this crew). They won 4 conference games. You think this current team is going to win 5 games in conference this year? Best case this team wins 6 games and realistically I don't see them winning 4 conference wins this years. Get ready for a new low, we are adding to the underground parking garage this year. Adjusted EM from KenPom in () No wins: NDSU 171 (-0.66), SDSU 88 (+8.85), ORU 131 (+3.37) Might get 1 win: St. Thomas 258 (-7.61), KC 225 (-4.44), W. Ill 206 (-2.79), USD 253 (-7.01) So you have to split with: Denver 323 (-14.67), Omaha 338 (-17.04) UND (346) -19.90
  12. MVC has invited Murray St. Unknown at this point if that include MVFC - rumor is that it is a NO at this point for MVFC and they may park football in the OVC or ASUN for a short period of time. With the Murray St. invite it appears that UT-Arlington is heading to the WAC? And UI-Chicago could be announced by the end of the month according to sources.
  13. Interesting comments on Omaha - a couple years ago they had very solid teams and they looked like they were improving. Any thoughts on what changed?
  14. If the NCAA gets involved the only thing that is going to happen is that Western gets two year on probation for complaining about Michigan.
  15. Two things caused the Nebraska problem: 1) Nebraska reorganized and created a separate Medical School. U. Nebraska, Lincoln 79 9.4 316,820 U. Nebraska, Medical Center 118 13.7 194,455 2) Texas (UT) was being petty and pushed for a lower weighting on non-competitive research grants. NOTE: A&M is the Land Grant school in Texas.
  16. Yes, they were R1 for a number of years right after moving to DI. Then they were classified to R2. They are a school which will always be on the cut-line going up and down given recent trends. NDSU has a large amount of research space I think something like top 40 in the country.
  17. Which is why, I don't mind the SL as it is right now. It is very close to having a solid core of 8 schools. The SL needs to keep UMKC, UNO, UST and DU in the fold. They are a fit academically and are great markets. And yes, UNO, UMKC and UST need help growing the athletics but tie the schools together with academics (NOTE: several med schools in that SL list - Great Plains IDeA-CTR (https://gpctr.unmc.edu/) (NDSU, UNL, UNO, USD, KU Medical Center, UNMC, UND) look to extend that UMKC, UST and DU: Institution 2019 NDSU 138 15.8 152,381 R1 UND 153 17.5 110,836 R2 SDSU 182 20.6 66,794 R2 U. 20. If you have not been to campus in the last 2 or 3 years - you are missing out. The campus has changed dramatically for the better and it looks like more changes in the next couple of years. Easily the best campus in the Dakotas.
  21. Is it "TSL, NCHC, MVFC" or is it "NCHC and Big Sky" or is it "NCHC and Great West" or is it "WCHA and Great West" or is it "WCHA and NCC". Oh dang it - you said "3"!. So, it has to be "TSL, NCHC, and MVFC". Did I get it right?
  22. Interesting read today: Between the Lines: Midseason Report : College Hockey News If this happens, it may finally be the push for Miami and Western Michigan to go to the more geographically-centered CCHA. Miami has been the school more willing to do this over the years, but WMU has been reluctant. However, WMU will have a new athletic director soon, and has a new head coach, so this could change. This article has hints of smoke around the Summit League. Again, interesting stuff will it come true who knows.
  23. Interesting, I could have sworn that Miami was rumored as looking to potentially leave but W. Michigan was saying no. I remember reading that the NCHC looked at WM, SCSU and BG after Notre Dame pulled out when the conference was first started. That lead to WM, and SCSU joining the conference. But, I have not read much since then about BG. I guess it just wasn't on my radar.
  24. I don't think it would hurt, and I think that the corporate sales would go up given the strong business ties in the Twin City by UST alumni.
