yah, right now the Gophs DON'T live up to the seed, but at the bginning of the year they did, and then some. It just happens that it all evens out that the last half they played slightly above .500 and the stats still had us in the 4th slot. In all reality, I don't think there will EVER be a way to pick the seeds that will make everyone happy and be 100% "fair". BTW, wanna bet the letter writer WASN'T a Gopher fan? WPoS

Actually we didn't play here last year. The locations are bid on in advance by all venues. As the previous post said, next year the Ralph will host a regional and not the Cities. So don't worry, it isn't all a vast Gopher/Boston conspiracy. Altho, money DOES play a role in the selected sites. And seeds also play a role in WHERE a team plays. Concievably this year the Gophs could have hosed themselves out of playing at Mecca and next year UND could get hosed out of playing at the Ralph. It all comes down to consistancy/seeds. Genarelly there is a group of teams that make the field of 16 very consistantly and it seems like they get special treatment, but ithey do not. WPoS

No, normally it is everyone else whinning that the refs rule in FAVOR of the Gophers....in fact, I have stated that the reffing was horrible all around, inconsistant and poor for ALL teams playing. All the WCHA boys will get rude awakenings when they get non-WCHA refs in teh NCAA's... WPoS

I played with the bonus and such on USCHO lots and pretty much had the Gophs locked into the fourth #1 easily...is it perfect? Is it always fair? But it IS better than what we used to have and hopefully they can keep improving the methodology as time goes on. WPoS

correct, the SS.com coach tried to rally her troops to pull a win out after leading and then losing the lead. Great tending by the SS.com goalie! I will have a traveling trophey made for next year to go the winning team. WPoS
