well, I'd take some exception to that claim, while yes, it is sweet to win all three, IMO it is harder to win two NCAA titles in a row, three even harder if not almost impossible in today's level of play, since the single game elimination format does not favor such an occurrence at all. Winning the regular season title is prolly the easiest of the three to get (especially in certain leagues) and the league playoff title gets a little harder ONCE you get to the final round, but basically playing best 2 outa 3 the better team SHOULD win. All that said, UND having done it while tying someone for the regular season title and the Gophs having not done that, I, of course, will look thru my maroon and gold glasses and say the back-2-back is harder. Those who look thru green glasses will differ. WPoS

I have been doing it for quite a while, every year it gets harder and harder to continue...they keep on finding ways of getting more money outa me...first thing to go was actaully going on a student ticket...this year the guest pass went up to $658... Next they'll take away the student guest passes . Yet we have open seats...ok, I'll let it go. No sense opening that up again! WPoS

sadly tUMD did not win, but go Denver now! Keep it in the best league in the nation! Single game elimination games can do odd things at odd times...odd bounce/great save/penalty/etc. can win or lose you the game.... WPoS

If I wanted to make sure I got moved up in the line at Mecca I'd have to donate $1000 and still not really know for sure if I got tickets (non-refundable donation BTW) untill they hand them out. They go by donation value, the more you donate the farther up you go. AND you have to donate EVERY year to keep your tix. PLUS you got to pay for the ticket...last year it was $658 for the regular season. So figure $1700 per seat per year. ERF! I'd GLADLY pay $110! WPoS

is it just me, or as soon as I drive into Stearns County ont eh way up to the cabin, I feel my IQ drop and then rise again as soon as I leave the county? I think we should name all sports teams after colors, because THOSE aren't racist are they? Heck, I'd support a team called the "Invading Germans", but I'd prolly get called a Nazi.... As far as the Sioux logo and such, many people that I know have no problem with it...keep it IMO and let everyone whine...it is always nice to know htat it is such an important thing inthe world that needs changing as a school mascot/logo... off topic slightly here, but did anyone notice the stickers Denver had on their helmets? Made me think of high school football players.... As for the "W" maybe it stands for "WHY"? tough loss for UND. UND ran into a hot goalie and team the got a bounce at the right time. IMO UND outplayed Denver for most of the game. One of the "cleaner" games I have watched all season, what, three (?) penalties the whole game? Tourney play is full of odd stuff, this is one of those games. Good season guys and have fun rooting against the Gophers (I know you all will). WPoS
