Correction: Gophers 4 UND 3 wins at Mariucci West! Didja guys miss me? From what I heard we couldn't score in a $.50 whore house with a Franklin hanging from our mouths on Friday night. I was sad that I didn't get to watch the games, altho I think as elated as I would have been on Saturday, I would have been screaming at a TV on Friday and have no hair left. As always, these teams play each other and the outcome in never a "sure thing". Bummer there will not be a rematch this year untill possible post season... WPoS

funny guys...funny... I am putting out the call of a split. It has been shown that both teams can play badly and well...so it all comes down to whom plays which way which night and how many penalties are called.... I'd love to say a Gopher sweep or even three points, but I agree UND will be fired up to try and sweep and only stellar tending by Briggs will keep them from taking more than two points. That and Goligoski, Potulny and Tally scoring lots... WPoS

too bad that doesn't really equate to anything of note in the real world... Only rank that matters to me EVER is the end of season rank. Holding a #1 rank in any poll during the season is meaningless except for seeding during playoffs...and that doesn't always help either.... WPoS

I seriously doubt the U will ever leave the Olympic sized sheet. True they have discussed it, but it will not happen. The style of play the Gophers are known for and the size of the ice generally help the Gophers when they play most other teams that come from smaller ice. Generally, smaller ice leads to tighter play with less speed in skating. Larger ice helps teams that are tallented with speed and passing, but not with a strong checking squad. Goon, don't be scared...you know you don't like the big ice only because you guys don't play on it! I'll take the big ice anyday. Having played on both sizes, in my limited ability, the size difference is HUGE on the ice. IMO make them ALL Olympic. But that's just me... WPoS

I'd agree they generally TRY to keep teams from one league separated, unless it is the WCHA...take a look last year. It was set up so that the WCHA could not "overpower" the teams from HE. Theoretically it could have been an all WCHA FF. But the teams were seeded and placed in such a way that WCHA teams knocked each other out so only ONE WCHA team could make the FF. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but that is what I beleive. WPoS

EXACTALLY! Except the thing that annoys all of us (not just Gopher fans) is JBSU fan's idiotic demand to be respected when they have yet to show they deserve ANY respect. And Commodore, you forgot that Jan wasn't quite as good looking either! WPoS
