FYI, new policy at Mecca this year: no RUSH tickets, they are going to sell 1500 SRO GA tickets each game. One can then go and try to find an empty seat or stand in the concourse to watch the game. Of course if the seat holder show you get the boot and you can't obstruct the concourse...more money for the coffers the way it sounds! That is what I have heard for those of you who don't get tickets for the series... WPoS

hmmm, maybe he only bought them then for the Gopher series...I know he was pretty pissed we had made it our own section and made as much noise as the whole student section last few years as we bought out those sections and stood and made noise the whole time. I even got tossed out for having plaster fall on my head...only time I have EVER been tossed out of anyhting, again security up there is pretty flimsy if you ask me...it all matters not this year for us anyway.... those are no longer available I don't think, last year a UMD alum bought them all because he was sick of the UM crew going up there and taking all the spots in S and R and making too much noise... WPoS

one word: PIT any seat you'll be able to get will still have you in that PIT of an arena. Last year they double sold my seats to someone else and security didn't do jack, I ended up standing up by the rafters (no mean feat whilst blitzed). "Security" is a joke too, if you are not a UMD fan all you do is cause trouble. IMO most of that place has obstructed view with the stupid heavy netting and cables running all over the ends. I for one will NOT miss going to games there after UMD has a new arena. Again, PIT. Only good thing is it is close enuf to run to G'mas for a quick pitcher between periods. WPoS

my neighbor is lamenting NOT going to play in Germany as he had lined up, looks like he and his fam can spend some quality time in warm climes instead of St. Paul this year...it is odd hearing a player speak out over some of the stupid stuff that is causing some of this! WPoS

agreed. Altho "justletemplay" has a point, just like football, where every play has holding, one can never have a "pure" game, but these flagrant goons should start getting called onthe carpet (ice). I wonder how certain teams will fare if they can't hook/hold/slash their way to a win will do at that point? I'm looking at Mich Tech, MSU and JBSU here... WPoS
