Goon, I'll keep that in mind when UND hosts a regional! Then the whinning can stop! The Gophs seem to have the number of the evil "M" for the past few years over there, but still I woulnd't trust averages too much. As for the "corpification" of college hockey....it sucks, but there is little one can do...money talks and none of us (Ithink) own a big enuf corp to make a diff in any program in the country...It is happening all over, spliting/moving of student sections, bands getting smaller/moved to the hinter-land seats....it all sucks....that is why the day I have to sit down in my seat and stop cheering, I will end up on the water tower with a high powered rifle! noisemakers during play is an NCAA violation BTW....one reason that bands are not supposed to play during play and the announcer can only announce game related stuf while play is on... WPoS

when they took apart old Mariucci, they sold the "seats" (bench boards) and such, but if one waited one could go dumpster diving and get some for free...but mostly they tossed stuff out that wasn't going to be re-used....I am sure there would be plenty of you guys lookign to spend some ching on stuff from your old barn...lord knows I wished I did back in 92 for ours... old arena: Minnesota High schools have larger arenas... new barn: BAD design, has nets and trys to come off as all high tech...they are already going corpie... if you saw the games you saw my ugly mug a few times... games were fun, drinking the Freedom Trail wasn't bad either.... actually, I agree we SHOULD have blown them out. No idea what the heck is going on with these kids. We take down the inferior "M" school handily, split w/ UND, sweep the BADgers and almost settle for a tie against JBSU? WTF? First period the Gophs DOMINATED, then they almost sat back and watched the game slip away...no reason for that. BUT, one thing JBSU does have going for them is Boron. That guy made some saves that were out and out impossible! Should have been about 5-0 after the first, but that guy was a WALL! Reffing was the usual poor performance, missed calls, no calls and make up calls all to get his ugly mug on TV more. Mind you he called the game BADLY for BOTH teams...not whining about the reffingbeyond that this league needs to get some GOOD refs, not these morons they have now. About the only good thing was the JBSU skanks kissing on MSC! WPoS

another reason is the lost of, in my mind at least, the heart and fire of that team, Junior Lessard. I think the dogs did about .500 when he was not playing last year. WPoS
