    Northern Iowa?

Much better is relative. How much better is a team that wins in overtime at home, for NDSU vs UND's late game I'd say they were pretty even in 2003, based on the game that was played.
  2. I assume they have the institutional profiles from the last round of expansion. I think they will announce visits to interested schools.

Being a UNO grad, I understand where you are coming from, and Pat thanks you Once Rocky sets foot on the Fargodome Turf, he is the enemy.

    Northern Iowa?

A team that went from 2-8 one year to taking the DII runner up to OT at home the next year.

    No it's Chapman
  6. Are you saying UND's division classification has no impact on NDSU?

    Dave, is your lastname Kupchella?
  8. Sorry, the ORU was the Mid-Con regular season champion. With 25 wins they would easily have been a 16th or better seed if they had also won the Mid-Con tourney, IMO. That's not my original point though. My original point was that the Big Sky does not always have a higher seed than the Mid-Con, or is the Big Sky always a better conference in basketball. It's a year to year thing.
  9. And if the Mid-Con champion had won the Mid-Con playoffs, they would not have had the play-in game. and so on My point was that you could not judge these conferences by 1 or 2 good years. As mentioned prior, Valpo was a 13 and won a first round game in the past.
  10. RPI changes from year to year. Last year the Mid-Con had a better RPI than the Big Sky. 25 Mid Continent 0.4671 30 Big Sky 0.4475

Interesting scores from 2004 Minnesota 37(6-5) Illinois St (4-7) 21 N Iowa 41(7-4) Illinois St 14 Could N. Iowa beat Minnesota in 2004? Interesting scores from 2005 N Iowa 24(11-4) S Illinois 24(9-4) S Illinois 9 NDSU 0 (7-4) By these scores UND should play UNI close
  12. You are funny, I think the offer would be welcome, and not embarassing or bittersweet has you would wish. Nothing better than being rewarded for pain and hardwork. Helping UND get into DI would be a bonus for the state of North Dakota.
  13. AGS Link Its been confirmed by Coach Farley during an interview for Des Moines radio. We were supposed to be playing South Dakota, but they backed out.
  14. If UND announced today that 2006 is the exploritory year, they would have to pay the $35,000? penalty. 18 months from today is October 2007. They could have 2007 be the exploritory year with no penalty.
  15. Wasn't this originally an 18 month notification?
  16. Minnesota Game = $250,000+ UND Game in Fargo = ~$50,000 They may have played had the Minnesota game not been available.
  17. Not that I don't want the Bison to play UND, I just don't see your point. When NDSU and UND are in the same NCAA classification, they will play again. A UND game right now would bring another $35,000 to $50,000 revenue in ticket sales, for a sold out game.
  18. IMO the difference is the NAIA schools are increasing the number of DII schools that compete with less than the maximum number of scholarships in football. The schools moving from DII to DI are apiring towards the maximum scholarship level in I-AA football. These new DI schools are not asking the NCAA to lower the scholarship numbers, to level the playing field.
  19. With the Masters viewing on the agenda for the weekend, I would say Golf
  20. SiouxMD did hit the nail on the head.
  21. How does Minnesota's basketball attendence compare to hockey when both programs are having a good year?
  22. Kirby Puckett, a Legend for all-time.
  23. The conference existed for SDSU's first DI (I-AA for football) year, 2004. 2003 was their last year in the NCC, a DI exploratory year.
