  3. I agree. I also agree with others that it isn't something Bubba can focus on, he can only focus on winning. But I guarantee the goings on at the ac are something the marketing department keeps an eye on. They are competing for some of the same dollars. And I'd say your 1k figure is probably pretty accurate.
  4. I vote Bartels because why not? Look at the stats for this offense, is there a lot of room to fall?
  5. Great to see the offense, defense, and special teams come up with a big play with the game on the line. My hat is off to Bartels. It is no small thing to come into a game like that absolutely cold. No warm up, limited 1st team reps during the week, and lead the team like he did in that 2nd half. I would be interested to see what he could do with two weeks with the first team to prepare for SUU. He should get the chance. It isn't as though there is a lot of room to regress-Joe hasn't exactly led this offense to even mediocre status in the conference or the nation.

    PSU Predictions

The defense won't allow PSU to do much, but the offfense leaves them in field position to kick field goals. Until this offense shows me they can score, I can't pick them to score. UND 13 PSU 9
  7. I'm very hesitant to make playoff projections for a two win team, particularly when those two wins are against teams with only a total of two wins between them. But, in the event 7 wins does happen...as great as that would be for the program and even with the expanded field I think 5 losses puts them out.

    Or Poly.
  9. It's their defense.

  11. Never been a worse time for me to be on the road for a game. The ending hurts but couldn't be prouder of the way these guys battled. Sometimes the most difficult thing for a program that is struggling to come back from the depths is learning how to win again.
  12. But they didn't beat a bad UConn team, and the fact the SB defense played well vs a bad FBS team (or a bad UND offense) doesn't make them live up to the hype.
  13. Perusing your posts over recent seasons, you are in no position to characterize anyone's assertions as foolish.
  14. Let's live in 2014 for a moment. SB is not good. UND is not good. UConn is not good, but they are better than both UND and SB. Yes, UND winning at UConn would do something for me, but I'm not living in fantasy land and the bar is set so low this year that a win against SUU-a difficult road game vs an opponent actually on the schedule-really would mean something to me.
  15. I think there are 3 teams, possibly 4, in this conference that win at UConn. SB didn't win at UConn and neither would UND. But having seen both teams, that has more to do with SB and UND than it does about UConn. If UND were to go to SUU and win that will do something for me.
  16. The coaches are trying to prepare their team for a game, I get that. And I don't think SB has a bad D. They don't. I just haven't seen enough from them to agree with the hype they've been given. And with all due respect, unless you are talking basketball don't throw out the name UConn and think it means a damn thing. They stink. SB is their only win, and they just got whacked by Temple at home last week. http://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/conn-m-footbl-sched.html
  17. To me the Stony Brook D has become a meme for the UND O isn't that bad, the opponent D is that good. That's why the SB D reference elicited an IALTO from me as I read it.

    UM Predictions

    24-9 Griz
  19. I'm tempted to say the offense will run the ball well given how easily the ac was able to run on the griz...but somehow i don't think the UND O line and the ac o line are quite the same.
  20. Not making a prediction yet, but just an observation. The griz already have an fcs loss with a road game at EWU then MSU still to play. From their perspective, I don't think they can afford a loss to UND. Unlikely they will be overlooking this one.
  21. Even so, the secondary has still shown they will give up the big play for a TD. They've done so vs every talented offensive team this year.
  22. Considering the rankings those matchups are unavoidable.
