They do what gets ratings. That's why he does his show from every road game the ac has. If doing that when KFGO carried UND football would have garnered ratings he would have done it then as well.

You make a compelling case for NAU there Carnac the magnificent feels like we will be hearing the word "spoiler" in the media too much this week. I'm thinking the biggest motivation is "this is your chance to play your way into or out of a spot on the 2015 team".

I don't know the answers to any of that. Just heard unconfirmed chatter about the outcome and figured someone around here would know more specifics.

Certainly stopping the run is goal number one to have a chance to beat the ac. But to deliver the beat down that UNI did, they were also able to do a couple of other things. Superior on special teams. Locked down the passing game. The ac receivers had difficulty getting separation. When they did, Wentz missed open receivers. When he did hit them, there were key drops. When everything clicked, there was a penalty. Stopping the run is where it all starts to have a shot, but UNI did that and more for a 20pt win.

one of the many sporting events I've sacrificed at the alter of youth sports

edit: you are mistaking me for someone that gives a s**t about anything you have to say.

I've been hearing the team did not look good in the scrim vs msum. anyone else hear that?

Ding dong the witch is dead.

Everyone knows the difficulties this team has faced this year. No need for me to recount them here. That's why I picked Weber to win this game. Not because Weber is a good team. They are not a good team. They were winless coming into GF. 0-9. Zero wins. This is not about Weber, or the next two likely losses vs NAU and UNC. This is about the absolute disaster this season has become for UND.
-
No blaming the offense for that one. Defense was rested, came out of halftime fresh with adjustments and give up a TD drive. A bad day for everyone.
-
That might be true in this case, but there have been far too many player defections to pawn it off on them being bad guys.
-
There's always a need to paint one side as the good guy in this stuff, and one party as the bad guy. When a program is in transition like this, I don't think there is necessarily a good or bad guy. Some parts just don't fit the new machine and it is time for both to move on.

I have zero problem with the changes Bubba is making. This is a plant that needs a lot of pruning because the entire thing has been dying. As far as I'm concerned, Bubba can keep cutting until he thinks the diseased branches are all gone.

I think having one BSC win will be the bigger issue affecting attendance from here on out.

Now? You are posting like that is a foreign concept. It isn't new. Coaches know what the average TOP is, the average number of plays, etc... There is variance based on the scenario you stated. That is how and why we know one team can schematically make a game plan to eat clock and limit possessions. It is also why you do not willingly give the opponent an extra possession by kicking off twice.
