Only 6 pages for the Homecoming GDT? I get the last two weeks were ugly, but we can still make some noise this season. And we can start by beating our mortal enemies at home next week.

    Go Hawks!

    Buck the Fison!

Nothing to complain about this week so limited posts on here.

Sure did.  Lots of tix available.

I was hoping someone with season tix would be looking to unload them cheap or for free. I always give mine away when I can't use them.

I'll delete this post soon but wanted to reply to you first.  A couple in our party can't make it now so I'll only need to pick up one at tailgating.  Usually pretty easy to do.

When they caught Vlad Jr. napping at 2nd the place was electric.  What a fun game to be at.

for sure.  Read that Correa told Gray that the Toronto runners couldn't hear directions from 3rd base coach cuz of crowd noise so figured they could pick someone off.  Great play by both of them.

When Roger Thomas took over the program, UND lost every head to head recruiting battle against NDSU. After a year or two they started winning a few. By the time Lennon took over, they were winning most of the recruiting battles. It can be done, you just need the right people in charge.

I guess that's kind of what I was saying.  Pied Piper might be the wrong description but Roger was a very dynamic and outgoing coach and the right type of personality for a turnaround for sure.

I would say that Bubba is closer to Dale's personality.   I base this on my experience with all three of them over the years.  I played with Dale and have a fair amount of exposure to all three of them, seeing them at practices, games and interacting with the public at football alumni and other events.

I don't really buy into the "Big Game" theory. If we are honest with ourselves, we have never been the favorite in a "big game". If we had SDSU's roster and lost then I could buy it. To me, it's not that Bubba chokes in big games, it's that Bubba doesn't build a roster to win big games...

This is 100% true.  We don't/won't win very many recruiting battles for the big knockers that would make a difference.

I am not sure how we get there either.   It's chicken and egg.  You don't get a lot of those guys unless you're a consistent winner going deep into the playoffs and you and you go deep in playoffs without those top end players.

Better facilities will help but maybe we need a pied piper type coach to get us over the hump.  I'm a Bubba backer but he's not that kind of coach.

So did they get lucky that the ball didn't just bounce weirdly, or can you actually control how it's going to bounce off the turf?

It worked well but said it wasn't perfect.  It was probably on the old short AstroTurf so would have been easier to get a good bounce.

This game is our toughest.  Even if we play for the championship.

It will always take one, two. Three trick plays to beat a champions team.

In the 60's I don't remember which QB threw a bounce pass to another player behind the line of scrimmage, the other player threw to a WR so wide out nobody within 15 yards.  TD.  Announcers were so confused about the play because the football bound on the ground and wondered if it was a dead ball.  I want to win the game.

Distant memory but I think Nebraska or someone ran that play in the '70's.  They made sure to meet with the officials ahead of the game to explain what they were going to do so it wouldn't get blown dead inadvertently.

Looks like this change in 2005, but previously in HS football you could make 2 forward passes in the same play if the first was caught behind the line of scrimmage.  I remember Eden Prairie ran it and had same conversation with referees prior to the game.

if schloss has any balls he would essentially tweet the same thing but say it's their super bowl x 13 or 18 or something stupid....

If McFeely doesn't think it is a monster game for SU he is hallucinating.

    The subject is crime

listened to his show the other day on crime and his words were Fargo is safe the same as Mpls.

the caller responded with recent crime in Fargo and Mpls.

That’s not politics, just stating facts

read the article in the forum about HP stopping a vehicle and his gun drawn, just facts here

How does including a pic of his sister and referencing her fit into the narrative besides her politics?

Not your post but relevant to SooToo's comment.

Neither Coach Mo or Coach Young are at Central Michigan anymore it appears.

Looked at Coach Young's Twitter account and he has recently re-posted a number of tweets from high schools thanking UND for showing up to open gyms.  Does anyone know if he still has ties to the UND program?
