D1 kid? Maybe someone that could redshirt and develop?

I'm not enough of an expert to know for sure.  Very quick and plays at a high level with Minnetonka in a very tough conference.

one for the team and one for sclossman?

Did some google searching. Found one chef listed. Guessing any others would be cooks working for her or him.

its the % of money rea takes from gate  rev i think.....its what kennedy trued to redo until kem said " do you know who i am".... and that was the last time someone at und tried to challege her

I believe the agreement  has a provision that it is to be reviewed every year and either side can propose changes. KEM refused to engage.

Is it relevant or not that a much better opportunity presented itself that didn't exist 8 days earlier? If he stays this year and then goes to a better opportunity does that somehow make this better or different? I'd feel different about the whole thing if the NDSU job had been open at the time he was hired at UND. But it wasn't, and there was zero indication that there would be a better opportunity elsewhere.

I guess I just value honoring your commitments whether or not the pretty girl suddenly notices you.

Especially with the history he has with the program.  It's not like he was going to a place he had no ties to.

  5. Wondering about the absence of geaux_sioux for the last few weeks with all that's gone down.

Is he just fed up with the whole situation or did he leave with Danny like the Walrus left with Dale?

How long would he have to stay here to qualify as having integrity? 1 year? 5 years? I'm not applauding anyone for anything. I'm just not blaming someone for going a different route after circumstances changed.

not sure of the exact time needed but it is certainly longer than 8 days.

So this also applies to Eric Schmidt then too right? Jake got an offer to go to the Alabama of FCS.....just like Schmidt dumped his new school and position to go to Alabama.

I'm sure every one of us in Jakes position would have stuck at UND when Bubba is probably gone in a year and OC is probably gone too....verses go to the top dog with more security and more money. I'm sure we would have all stuck loyal to our new job we had for 8-10 days and say screw the amazing opportunity.

It totally sucks for sure, but I can't blame him. But I sure will rooting against him hard when playing SU.

I did see him listed as going to Alabama but his recent X posts make it look like he is still at SDSU.

You’re upset people are making preseason predictions?

No more upset than you are that people want to see how the season plays out before deciding to fire the coach.

I think we should wait until we've seen the offense for a few games before going negative. Besides, the offense isn't the problem on this team. We all know what needs to get better.

Why would anyone wait to see a few games for that?

Some on this board have already started the coaching search based on a 3 or 4 win season next year before a down is played.

Tough to not give up lanes when it was 6 on 4. Can't play a heavy pressure PK when down 2 men.

In the broadcast they said the goalie was back in for the pp so would have been 5 on 4.  Who knows if those dopes were right.

Zmolek had a very sound game, with a LOT of blocked shot attempts ... 8? 10?  I don't like that penalty either but I though he was good tonight.

Know the score, situation and time left and use your head.

Like I said, "... until I know the additional details I reserve judgement."

And we won’t get those details so no surprise that people will fill in the blanks based on what they see. Human nature

    What is "excess" cash?

What are their monthly operational cash needs?

What are their required (by lenders, by their charter) reserves of cash?

Are they managing the funds well (not just in simple savings but managed short-term funds with market returns)?

Do they have debt obligations, most notably to UND Athletics?

I've seen the number "$15M" cash reserves. It'd take 20x that to rebuild REA/BESC.

Could there be more transparency? Yes.
But until I know the additional details I reserve judgement.

I don't blame the boogeyman until I know it's really scary and not a mirage.

What people are saying is - let's see the details.  I'd like to figure out what happens to the 52% of fb ticket revenue and why it's needed.  Is it helping to pay off the Betty or ?

One thing I learned in business and helping to manage a company is that people will fill in their own details if you don't give them the information.

    my money is on landry.

worth the risk for him imo........

I have to believe he is safer long term at St.Thomas vs coming to UND.

  15. Schmitty credits his time with Dale and Bubba as base for his success per Tom Miller article.

    https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/eric-schmidt-credits-und-coaches-time-in-grand-forks-for-aiding-path-to-mondays-national-championship-game

"I got lucky as a young guy to be around guys who really knew football and had to work scheme-wise to get their guys in good spots," Schmidt said Saturday during media availability in Houston before the Huskies take on Michigan for the national title. "The things I learned from Dale Lennon and Bubba Schweigert are really things we still use and have held the test of time.
