During the 1st period intermission, TH mentioned that the Commish is looking to get a new contract. Now normally I'm sure that it would be renewed without much thought but if they really are upset with the officiating and the rubber stamp actions from the top dogs, they could vote not to renew it. We will see if that actually occurs though.

To be fair, we only played them in Duluth. We haven't played great hockey on the road. They also have the lowest win percentage in the new ralph. I don't want to see them because it means we would be 5th in the WCHA but I think it would be a different story on home ice.

So far all 3 series of run and gun hockey have happened in the Ralph. It isn't all fun and games on the road. That said, I am not worried in the least bit being down a goal.

PK over. SCSU sounds like they are having a lot of chances but it sounds like a very up and down game which should favor us.

He used to be a very bad ref. However, he has improved and after watching him in the Minn series, I think he is the best one out there. He doesn't seem to ref with the bias (perceived or otherwise) that he once did. That being said, my least favorite ref has been, is, and will be Anderson until the day he is done. His performance in the playoff series against Mankato 2 years ago should have been the last straw but yet here we are 2 years later and he is still here.

Pretty sure that quote was just a jab at NDSU and not an attack on the quality of the education system in ND.

Yeah Anderson had a rough series. He seemed to call everything. Seriously, Campion hardly got to make a call this series but overall I can't complain with the reffing. Sure it wasn't as good as if D Shep would have been out there but still a pretty even series. I will take 3 out of 4 anyday. I am more concerned with Minnesota anyways as they have an extremely cake schedule the rest of the way. Should be an interesting end to the season. Also I have to give props to the Denver players who came out to the bars tonight. Have to give respect to people who would wear their Denver gear out after only getting 1 point in the series. Pretty ballsy but I respect that.

They have came out good recently but last night we did not look good for the first 5 mins of the 1st. Luckily we capitalized on most of the odd man rushes given to us in the 1st period. Overall, I didn't think either team played that good last night. UND's transition game was the difference, something that they have rediscovered this year after it all but disapeared last year. Nice to see us challenging the opposing teams D men on the blue line instead of sitting back waiting for the inevitable to happen. Denver's goals were pretty much the result of them playing till the horn while UND took the last minute off of the 1st 2 periods. I keep telling myself this will be a close one tonight but I must admit I am growing fond of these 6+ outbursts!

Yes we are tied but they have played 2 more games then us. UW is 4 ahead with 2 more games played. Plus we get CC at home and have to go to Madison. I think gaining on UW is prob more important at this point.

Hope CC can pull this out. A win would really help us.

Have they changed plans since announcing they were looking at building a new building on 32 Ave? Obviously the proximity to their existing building would render it useless as a second location. However, maybe it would make more sense to keep the existing building and open a second one up north now that a building has opened up.

Watched it last night after the game and I couldn't stop smiling.
