Sorry, Dave. That was a stupid comment.
-
Check. Dave, I get the feeling you're a Packers fan. A fan of the green and yellow. That doesn't make you a closet Bison fan, does it?
-
Packers "advance" to 0-2.
-
Sounds like UND could use some consulting help.
-
Madden never gushed about Montana or Aikman like he did about *Farve. Even if he had, Montana has five rings (edit: Four, Young got the other one) and Aikman has three, versus *Farve's one. *spelling incorrect.

Vikings win in OT, 16-13. The fake field goal was a thing of beauty. How refreshing to have NFL caliber coaching in MN again.
-
That's a damn shame. It sounded like a fun new tradition that was starting up.
-
What was wrong with letting you guys camp out?
-
That's why this needs to be fought in the courts. Either all the nicknames go, or none of them go. It smacks of blackmail. I know that's not the PC thing to say, but that's how I feel about it.

Toews-Oshie will be this generation's Hrkac-Joyce.

The NCAA manual seems ambiguous on this, but you guys have been looking at this longer than me. If you say NDSU was a DI counter, than I buy it (I hope this is the case). That would lock up the GW for '08. Look forward to getting the rivalry cranked up again!
-
So it seems to me that a Great West bid would secure five DI games in 2008. UND would need to cobble together one more DI game to be a counter. Two would probably be better, in case someone flakes out at the last minute for a IA guarantee game. But the way I read the NCAA manual, UND couldn't be a counter until 2009, year two of the reclassification. Where does the notion come in that you can be a counter in year one? I hope that's right, but that's not the way I read it.

Pop quiz: How many Carlson School of Management students does it take to screw in a light bulb: A. None...it's a second year course. B. None...they live at home, mommy and daddy take care of the lights. C. Twelve...two to screw it in, ten to find an ugly enough lamp shade to match their school colors.

Not that anyone's asking, but count me in the camp that wishes zero success for either program.

Yes, great board. Keep doing what you're doing, Jim. I think I speak for many by saying Siouxsports.com is really less of a discussion forum, and more of an addiction. MUST.....GET BACK......TO WORK NOW...

Wisconsin bringing home the goods last spring will make them formidable in any recruiting battle. That said, I really hope the Sioux can close the deal with this Malone kid.
-
For a one year deal, as it stands today I would add Delhomme, Johnson, Brees, Pennington, and Hasselbeck into the conversation....but I see where you're going. It's just one guy's crazy opinion.

I agree, at least there is some accountability for a change. I'm not ready to make room for Childress' bust in Canton just yet, but we're already seeing a change with this team. They shoved the ball down Washington's throat, on the road, on grass, in a hostile setting when they had to have it. That is the kind of game where we've seen the Vikings lay down like dogs the last 10-15 years. They are playing with more of an edge, and they seem to have cleaned up the offsides/procedure crap at the line of scrimmage that plagued Tice. Clock management seems to be back in vogue at Winter Park, too. Do I think the Vikings even make the playoffs this year? It's 50-50 at best, but they will be interesting and entertaining, and in the thick of almost every game. Speaking of breaking the law, what's up with the cheeseheads signing K.Robinson? Talk about a sign of desperation.

As it stands today, I would take Brad Johnson over Favre any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Favre's decision making is atrocious, and he no longer has the physical talent to overcome the stupid decisions he makes. He should have hung 'em up. As for history, it will look very kindly on Brett. No-brainer, first ballot Hall of Fame. I wouldn't put him in a class with Bradshaw, Montana, Elway, Aikman....but he's in that group right behind (Steve Young, Roger Staubach, and the like....). Fire away, Packer rubes.

I guess Shane Stant's schedule was booked.
-
Rob is as nice a guy as you'll meet, but I think UND picked the right guy at the right time.
-
Thank you! Good luck to your 'Cats the rest of the way.

I couldn't agree more. But I would put the crosshairs on Maturi on this one. He's not a good AD. Mason's not even his guy....Dienhart hired Mason...but Maturi didn't have the cahones to call Mason's bluff on the contract renewal...what a joke. I have a gut feeling that the Bison have a legitimate shot. And if the Gophers lay a thumping on them, then so be it. As a Sioux fan...it's really a win-win scenario.

Putting the bat-signal out to SiouxMeNow. I hope he gets drunk and posts some quality smack later.
