When St. Patty's Day and the Broadmoor Trophy game fall on the same day, it just doesn't get much better than that in St.Paul. This will be a very, very good time.

If this were a first baby-step in rolling out a contingency plan, I actually think it makes a great deal of sense. Or, it could be a new marketing philosophy that Buning has brought to the table. Who really knows? I sure don't.

Bloomington is better. They will go out of the way to cater to Sioux fans. My experience in Roseville was one or two small TV's dedicated, with the volume turned off.

This is the first time I remember a marketing phrase or slogan carrying across all the major sports. I'm not reading into it one way or another, but you're not the only one wondering, Airmail.

I think this program is VERY well coached. But if this is the case, then no wonder the kid's confidence is shattered. We'll agree to disagree.

Just rolled in last night after a great weekend of games. Some random football thoughts: 1. Bobby Stroup is all over the place. This kid is a very, very good football player. I have seen the next Digger. 2. From midway through the 2nd Q on, this game was brutal to watch. Absolutely no flow with all the penalties, incompletions, etc. Painful. Part of that was MSU's offensive style, I suppose. 3. Offensively, the Sioux will need to be better against the likes of UNO and USD to win. I won't go into a Belmore speil, it's been discussed ad nauseum. I agree that we need Manke healthy, like yesterday. 4. Not sure what Dale was thinking at the end of the first half by letting the clock run all the way down and settling for three. Why not take a shot or two at the end-zone? We were baffled. 5. A shout out to the "SIOUX CREW". In Madison, "Jump Around" means what it says, get off your seat, jump around, and shake the place. At the Alerus, it means get off your seat, jump to the nearest aisle, and find the exit as quickly as possible.....of course this only applies to about 50% of the section that was still at the game. It was only 17-3. Pretty weak.

Yes. I remember 'cause the Sioux retained the Nickel that weekend. One of the best football tailgaters I've ever been to (70 degree weather in late October). Pretty good series against BC. Chorney and Zajac verballed right after that weekend.
