Baseball economics being what they are, I say this isn't too bad. The Twins will have their hands full keeping Mauer around...they won't be in the running for the big name free agents anytime soon. Six out of eight seasons they've been in contention in September. Two of those teams were probably good enough to win the whole thing.
Hope everyone had a great time last night, I couldn't make it unfortunately. IMO the Twins organization does more with less than the other three sports franchises in town, and it's not even close. Can't wait until outdoor baseball next spring!
That's fulfilling a previous obligation to SHSU made during the Great West days. I really can't say as I blame him it's the cash cow of your athletic department and I'd want six home dates every season too.
2013 & 14 are probably the next shot, with the twelve game seasons. I don't see Taylor willing to go with only five home dates, and I can't see Faison signing up for a one-game shot in the Fargodome.
They extended the championship game to the eve of the BCS National Championship, so I don't believe this to be correct, there will be 12-game schedules.
Correct, and the Bison poster was correct who pointed out that nobody will be taking over their barn anymore for football now that the new digs are open.
