I disagree that we are responsible for anything in Minnesota with the exception of Finley pulling Wheeler out of line. So what if he doesn't shake hands like a gentlemen. Originally I had thought that Zajac's cross check was unwarrented but looking at the replay it was 100% deserved.

Maybe McClown can address the fact that a WCHA coached encouraged a player to escalate an already hot situation by pushing one of their players to join a fight. If the player had had only the judgment of this coach I believe both teams would have gotten involved. So what's McClown going to do about that situation?

The bottom line is that our top line has finally gelled. We're ready to really take our game to a higher level at a perfect point of the season.

I think Coaches shows that are on even days should be in one thread while coaches shows on odd days should be all together in their own. The only exception is that shows prior to playing bottom feeders with losing records should all be group together. OF course if they're a hated rival they deserve their own, even if they do suck this year. Finally if the coaches show discusses issues that might get the coach fined by the league the entire thread should be hidden over on the football thread where Bruce McClown would never think of looking. That should keep everything tidy around here.

You're right, two of the bottom feeders would have a chance of making the tournament.

On the coaches radio show Hak said that he thinks that JP Lammy will start Saturday.

I think the NCAA started using Moy's work a few years ago when they found out he was more competent than the selection committee.

Right, we know everything about the league except for the official evaluations of the well paid on ice officials. (And of course the players medical situation which is the result of a federal law, not league policy.)

I think we would have seen some other players fighting. Hunt was officiating for a split and a brawl Saturday night.

Gwozdicky absolutely should be punished for encouraging a player join a fight. I haven't seen a bench clearing brawl that the Sioux have been involved in and that would have been it. UND suspended Hakstol for a much lesser event. Also Hunt should be disciplined for 1) Allowing the Denver players out on the ice after a period. 2) Allowing all kinds of cheap stuff to lead to this, specifically a number of slashes including the one on Malone, and... 3)Not throwing Radke and Testuide out when they got into it.

That's my point, he's been suspended. Has officiating improved since then? No because of the leadership of the WCHA.

The problem isn't with Marco Hunt, Randy Schmitt or even with Don Adam. The problem is the leadership in the WCHA head office. Fix that and then the new leadership can address the symptoms if the reoccur. OK, Don Adam is a problem.

That was my thought when I read this story. They can fix some things, except the things that really matter like the outcome of games. Since we're talking about going back, how about punishing Gwozdicky for pushing a player into the fight? How about ejecting Manino for a game for throwing a punch and how about throwing Derrick Peltier out for attacking Trupp?

I'll say it again. In the first period Malone took a slash to the back of the legs way after the whistle. Both Hunt and a linesman say it. They didn't call it. Right then I predicted a brawl.

I think you think the matter deems more study.
