How tacky of you to use your site to promote your site by offering what we're looking for.
-
Also their player jumped on Trupp (ala Stoa) and started punching him. We wound up without a power play and instead down a player. I find it hard to imagine anything bad happening to Don Adam that I wouldn't feel good about.
-
I hope the coach's kid is doing ok.
-
I thought when the other guy was talking trash you were supposed to get even by scoring some goals or at least keeping the other team from scoring goals. I was hoping that by now somebody who saw the Lucia hit on Trupp would be on the board. I missed it.
-
I had some respect (but not a liking) for one Lucia after Toni took after Zajac at the end of the game last year. Not now.
-
Point out that at least three times the Gophers were penalized for instigating type activities. The one jerk actually got an instigating penalty with a matching roughing one with Malone. Barribal got a slashing penalty on Hextall along with matching penalties and of course Stoa's bush league attack. And those are just the ones the officials called.
-
Well without Donna Lucia to hide behind who can blame a coach?

Big hitter the Lama.

That was nice of him, wasn't it.

It's been worse for sure. One thing I laughed about was Brad Malone's penalty at the end of the first. First the official waved it off. Secondly they announced a "boarding penalty" when the period ended. When it started up again in the second they announced it was cross checking. Not that it was necessarily a bad call. It could have gone either way. The other one I questioned was the first penalty of the game. They called Hexstall for a late hit. I didn't see that, but I was watching when a Gopher came in and checked Hextall after that. Typical goofy WCHA officiating, but I'm laughing about it rather than complaining.
-
Good thing that offset the hot goalie excuse we were working on in the first!
-
Well I like to say that I didn't see it so I'll give the official the benefit of the doubt.
-
For objectivity you couldn't come to a better place than here.
-
Didn't he have a terrible knee injury last year? He looked fine to the end of the game when he checked (ok) Hextall and then jumped on him when he was down. Wouldn't it be terrible if he aggravated pulling a bush league move like that? The check REALLY was a strong check so it's hard to imagine that he was in bad shape at that point.
-
I would say that we were snakebit early, but that evened out during the game. Putting six on a good team like the gophers is great.
-
What was embarrassing about that. There were four or five players on one of his teammates. Radke pulled one of them off of them and beat the snot out of him. He didn't start it. He stood up for his teammates. Maybe he should have just grabbed ahold of the guy and held on, but it's NOTHING comparable with attacking a guy laying on his back.
-
I have to agree. This was one of the best games I've seen for quite a while. (Maybe not 25 years.) For two periods we were twice the team they were.
-
No, that's a 2 minute penalty according the WCHA clowns.
-
Hexstall had a chance and was checked into the goalie. He was lying on the ice and Stoa dived on him leading with a crosscheck to the head. The official saw the whole thing and had his arm up before the rest of the team came to the rescue. I think it was an intent to injure.
-
That's BS. A guy's lying on the ice and you dive on him leading with a crosscheck to the head. If a Sioux player did it I'd be saying it was bushleague. There's a whole nother thing besides squaring up and telling someone you'll fight with him versus cheap shotting a player that's down.
-
The first contact was definitely an intent to injure the way he went after Hexstall's head with the stick. I'm sure the league will ignore it. They don't care about the safety of the players one bit.
-
'Cause Minnesota sucks.
-
What fun is that? The closest I can come to that is "Get well soon, so we can work at pissing you off again."
-
Well first you have to take your ACT. Then your dad sends a BIG check to the UND business office....
-
We used to have a full 20 minute period. My understanding was that they changed because of the TV contract$. I'd like it to go to ten and then have a shootout.
