  1. The only thing to add to that is that Archie wasn't that big of a guy. He went 185 lbs I think. But he wasn't afraid to tangle with anyone. Consider him the rage blackout guy of the early 80's although I think he knew what he was doing. I was told by a guy who says he witnessed it himself, that Archie did a 'slapshot' as he skated by the gofer bench in old Williams arena. (Before they named it Marriuci). That is he skated by the bench and rapped them all in the head with the stick.
  2. I thought he did ok for not playing for a while. I say give him another chance next week.
  3. I think Dumbver will be out for trouble tonight even if the officials do their job. After watching the game again I think Dumbver was going to start something no matter what the officials did. On the other hand, they should have given Testweed (sic) the spearing penalty and had him sitting out tonight.
  4. Hextall so far isn't really a player out there fighting or even throwing cheap shots. For example I think he got called for roughing on the scrum which was started with Testweed (sic) started it all with a spear and two cross checks. The only other penalty was a slashing in the first period but that was definitely slashing the stick so an hockey play, not a cheap shot. Archie started it more with his physical play. Hextall, so far, is getting under their skin (with his mouth I guess.)
  5. Ya think?
  6. I also thought it was a spear at the time. And to the back. A specialty of Gwozdicky teams.
  7. The best thing to do with INCH is to ignore it. (IMO of course)
  8. What a disgrace for the WCHA that they didn't put that one up on the board and instead called in a misconduct. Not only were the refs officiating by the scoreboard, they were officiating for a brawl.
  9. Heh!
  10. For a moment I thought I was going to have to eat crow about my prediction they were going to trap all night. That was the first period. They seemed to really choke up the neutral zone in the second. The third was a funny period without a lot of 5 on 5 so it's hard to say. I'll predict once again that they trap from the get go tomorrow. It was working for them in the 2nd.
  11. It would be interesting for Jonesy to meet Mr. Testuide and see who really has a bigger temper.
  12. Testuide (not sure how to spell it.) Scum bag.
  13. Jones out. Hmm. That's a first at least since his first year isn't it?
  14. You couldn't get anyone to come over and watch the game with you?
  15. Classic hockey!
  16. I'm thinking that Dumbver will be grabbing on as much as they can get away with. After watching the tape from the last two games they learned that if they do (like MTU) we can be taken out of our game. If they don't (like the gofers) we can steamroll a good team.
  17. Wow, they must have a couple guys shadowing him to keep him off the scoring sheet. Still that's got to open up some room for his teammates.
  18. His advantage was that he was rested so well.
  19. I don't suppose they mention that Radke pulled Vossberg out of a group of five that were gooning it up with one Sioux player? All five of those guys deserved the whooping that Radke put on.
  20. We got to play up and down hockey against Minnesota (IMO) because that's what they allowed us. There's no way that Gwozdickey is going to let us do that. (Again IMO). He's been working on the trap all week I'll bet.
  21. Chicks will be hotter? Beer colder (if not at least cheaper!)
  22. Makes tonight more tolerable.
