Two weeks ago it looked like we needed to win the Final Five to get to the tourney. Right now we aren't all that far from getting a bid based on our record.

First period sat night. Malone did cross check a guy digginh along the boards. It's a hockey play that sometimes gets called and sometimes doesn't. That led that spaz Schack to go after Malone after the whistle. That resulted in a power play for us. The cross check.wasn't in the scrum after the whistle.

Over on GPL there's a guy that says he saw Toni spear Trupp. I also talked to a guy who talked to a guy who saw it as well. Take that for what it's worth. But the guy I talked to is very reliable.

Interesting. I thought it'd be worse. They seemed like us. Homers but willing to talk hockey. I notice that they admit that Lucia DID spear Trupp. That makes them NOT idiots while Coach Hill IS. There's one guy on the board that seems to think that ND must always start everything. Well we do sometimes, but not really this weekend. Finally someone was wondering if Jones got the fighting major for his antics. I guess he needs to learn some internet skills. He didn't. However I fail to see that the Gophers have any beef with that since their boy Schack was throwing punches on Fratin and didn't get a fighting major either. My two cents is they were both lucky not to be sitting Friday. Who am I to complain about that?

How's the coach's kid doing?

I thought the season was over after last weekend.

For those of you that didn't see the teams that Woog coached, this was how they played. Hitting after the whistle. Backing down from a fight and cheapshotting. Expecting Woog not to approve isn't really realistic. I think we all expected the Gophers to drop this crap when Lucia came in. Again for those that didn't watch back then the Lucia CC teams were a good opponent. I respected the guy. Then.

Hopefully Jones has learned his lesson which is to NOT drop the gloves until you have hold of the loser's jersey and got his lid off. Even smarter is to have your linemates start a little pushing first to get the linesmen busy first. You gotta remember while these are great athletes they're still just kids that are in school to learn.
