  1. So Jonathan's been stringing us along, making us sweat all for a laugh! Course if he actually comes back I'd think the joke was funny!
  2. A pessimist is never disappointed.
  3. Lose? Heretic!
  4. That's why we have goons tavern.
  5. I quit the NFL because I didn't think they league wanted to officiate the games right. A certain Minnesota Green Bay Sunday night game was the final straw. I've been a bit more stubborn with college hockey.
  6. what makes baseball exciting for me is the tension in the game. Any pitch can result in a change of game. Hockey has some of that because a goal here or there can make the difference in the game. In basketball there is so much scoring there isn't very much tension.
  7. I'm sure Goon will set up a tavern in his basement that's open to the hockey players.
  8. You can quit. The first week is rather tough, but after that it becomes real easy. Takes a lot of willpower. People that have had the most luck kicking the habit generally go to the Sahara Desert Camp or a place like that.
  9. whew! That sounds more like a reasonable punishment. Imagine that, the Herald got the story wrong.
  10. well as far as the court knows he wasn't even drinking. I'm already on record that I don't agree with the law, but PCM is right in the fact that you have to be ready to face the punishment if you break the law. On the other hand you could be right that it will make it harder to recruit, but there isn't anything to be done about that until we give up on the prohibition mindset this country is in.
  11. I was aware of that. I was commenting on my view of the law they pled guilty to.
  12. If I was on the Jury I'd say I wouldn't convict someone of something I did myself when I was his age.
  13. I hope you're wrong, but that sounds like sound analysis of the situation.
  14. Is this better: Genoway, Oshie, Duncan'S line There must have been and will be again an acronym line.
  15. One Correction: Genoway, Oshie, Duncan'S line
  16. I think your kidding from the top to the bottom, but we'll be all that much stronger with another years experience. Finley will be more of an physical force. He had a shoulder problem much of the year. Chorney and Jones will both be another year stronger. I don't see letting in anymore goals next year than we did this year. With another year Lee will be quite a bit better too.
  17. I think we have to settle for saving him a spot under the bus. Who are we talking about anyhow?
  18. Nicely said Redwing. One tough thing about Lee and Finley is that they were expected to take a pretty big role on as Freshman. With only one upper classman (Smaby) you're going to be put into a lot of tough situations. I'm pretty sure that those guys will have great junior years as they put everything together.
  19. Duncan's not been drafted, right? Someone said as a free agent NHL teams can't talk to him yet. (Although I 'spose an agent could talk to the family). Still who wouldn't expect that a free agent Hobey Baker winner wouldn't get the top Rookie deal?
  20. Ah Moonshiner.
  21. He probably fears this board because of the fire Hakstol thread.
  22. In order to impress us you're going to have to tell us you turned down the top offer from the NHL club.
  23. Is this like the thread that runs up to right before the game?
