To be fair Vanek's WCHA numbers were much better than Parise's. Parise lit it up in non-conference play that year. Still I think Parise should have won the Hobey in his Sophomore season. He beat Lessard soundly in plus/minus and slightly in points per game. He was also MVP of the World Juniors which shouldn't count for you maybe, but in effect it counted against him as those missed games may have cost him the leadership in total points. I agree with the points about the Gopher getting favorable political treatment and home ice for the neutral final five. I've seen some jerk Gopher fans but not enough to make any kind of generalization. I'm over Woog now, sometimes I even like him when he's commenting. Lucia needs to quit whining about some Sioux fan saying he "sucks" once.

I thought HIPPA only counted if you knew the information from a confidential source. Like if you were his employer or health care provider. So if it's public knowledge you can talk about. Of course you have to be careful of rumor because if it isn't true (or you can't prove it) then you could open yourself up to a charge of libel/slander.
