Now who would be abusive to a WCHA Ref?

When TJ Oshie looks in the mirror he doesn't see a reflection. That's because there can be only ONE TJ Oshie.

I should say that I've run across a few hockey players and football players and never thought they were anything but good people. That's my personal experience. That doesn't mean the two teams don't have a rivalry between them.

How about a tent?

Well it is two different tiers of atheletics. That probably causes some friction. The hockey players are going pro or at least able to compete against players that will. The football players have to study. And the football players would naturally somewhat resent the extra attention the hockey guys get. As far as the logo, I think they should figure out some ways to customize the Al for home games and take them down for other events. Just my opinion of course.

One thing that gets me with the officiating situation is that for some reason you're not supposed to complain about the officials. You can criticize the other teams players, you can criticize the coach, you can criticize your team, your goalie, your goalies girlfriend. I for one feel I'm much better qualified to judge whether that was a holding call or not (as compared to the one he called five minutes ago) then judging whether or not the coach has a good program. I think it's much fairer to criticize someone in their 30's who's getting paid well for the job than to criticize a 19 year old amateur athlete. Certainly the officials are human, can make mistakes and can't see everything. Any criticism of the referee's need to take that into account. But even so the professionals in the WCHA do a rotten job.

What the WCHA needs is an objective system of rating the referees (not waiting to find out WHO is complaining.) The WCHA also needs to let a little sunshine into the process of ranking the on-ice officials.

If Doug Mientkiewicz can make the Yankee's because he's buddies with Arod, then Fabian should be able to make the Blackawks.

The reason why the officiating is so universally poor has to be because of the leadership.

There is no off season for Rylan Kaip. Everyday during the summer he has to beat up someone named Chad who's between the ages of 18 and 25.

Well it is true that he's a bona fide expert in bad hockey officiating. But does that expertise apply to the game of baseball?

I don't know if I'd agree with that. I was having trouble telling if the author was a supporter of Greg "The Hack" Sheppard or a detractor.

What a jerk. By the way, I checked the WCHA site and our Greg Sheppard was a West St Paul City Council member so we apparently they are one and the same.

I think it must have something to do with the caching.

I've seen on other sites where you have to reload the whole page to change your display. To do that you right click on the page and choose "reload". Maybe that will help. Right now I see a guy in a white mask or something. Is that right?
