  1. More airports within driving distance than you would think. I hope the price of rental cars adjusts by then - $90-$100 a day, for that price I'll have to also use it as my hotel.
  2. Regarding being stacked at QB - quite the turn around from just a few years ago.
  3. Prices can change but right now Sun Country is lowest. More intended to start discussion on road trip possibilities.
  4. Discuss: Sept. 2: Sun Country Air: Minneapolis to Bozeman, MT $198 round trip Rent car in Bozeman, drive 247 miles to Pocatello, ID for September 4th game vs Idaho State Spend September 5 - 9 explore Big Sky country, meander down to Logan, UT for September 10 games vs Utah State (105 miles) (Show up on national TV with UND painted on chest) September 11: drive up to Bozeman, MT (350 miles) to catch Sun Country Air back to Minneapolis Gotta love that UND degree that got me retired early.
  5. Every year we hear "you have to earn respect". They are just lazy - they do no research and just mail it in. His reasoning for us totally dropping off the radar is we have a lot of road games - specifically mentioning Missouri State as a "tough" one.
  6. If not for Missouri State tie breaker wouldn't we have been the Conference Champ and thus a seed?
  7. Jacks used a gimmick play to score, must be okay.
  8. Am I the only one who remembers having QBs who often missed swing passes? Not that long ago. This year it was never an issue.
  9. Apoeared that a JMU player was hurt on that last attempt to score.
  10. Jack should have to make a $50 donation to football everytime he says NDSU instead of UND. Forgivable mistake.
  11. I admit I over reacted, felt almost normal to be back in the Alerus at a game, cannot wait for the fall.
  12. Well I am willing to say I stand corrected, I went looking for it before the game and all I found was roster listings from games during the spring season.
  13. It's the little things that separate a mediocre program from a top level program. Yes, NCAA controlled some of the little things, but not all. Could UND have posted a game roster with both teams on them on the football site? Could they have had photos of the starting players on the big screen when they were announced. I realize they were pretty busy releasing the urgently needed 2021-22 hockey schedule the week of the football teams biggest game to date, but could have found an intern to do some of this.
  14. If someone want to put an asterisk on the season that is what it should be there for. *UND beat both SDSU and MSU.
  15. Seldom in our FCS era have I felt we had the best QB of the two teams on the field. This spring I have felt that several times. Accuracy and field presence are his strengths.
  16. I would guess the playbook got a lot smaller once we were up by more than 3 scores.
  17. Correct at the beginning of the game they played them both - perhaps NCAA restricts the playing of the school song, but go watch the highlights of SU VS EW - between the PA announcer screaming "That's another ...." (can't force myself to type it all), and the cannons going off that definitely did not sound like a neutral game site.
  18. Read the thread please, at the time I listed them it had not been shared that the NCAA had restricted them. Pretty sure they did not restrict the playing of the school song, having a game day roster on the UND website or having player visuals on the big screen.
  19. I realize that some of the things missing were due to Covid - but I question that everything on my list falls into that category.
  20. No reason he or other starters should have been in the game with that big of a lead.
  21. Okay I just finished a 15 hour day to make the drive to the game and return home - my choice. I just have to say that we are fortunate that Bubba and his staff are able to bring such quality players to UND when the UND Athletic Department makes it so obvious that there is hockey at #1 and everything else. To me if felt like we were lucky that UND found an intern to turn the lights on at the Alerus because that is about as much effort as they put into this game. Now I realize that some of the lack of atmosphere will be blamed on spring ball and Covid, but my gosh: No printed player roster - could they not have printed a thousand double sided sheets of paper with the player roster. Okay so they want us to go online to get it. Guess what the online roster was not updated for this game - the only one available was from over a month ago. No band - yes I know it's spring ball and probably tough to get a student band together - but they couldn't get a couple dozen students for a pep band? Never got to a hockey game - was there a pep band for those home games? School song - Maybe they played a recorded version before the game and I didn't notice, but they definitely did not play it when the team came out at halftime (might have played it at the end of the game I had already hit the road). No inflated helmet - I will give them the benefit of the doubt that this might be an NCAA thing for playoffs but it could also be laziness. No mascot - again I'm sure they will blame it on the spring season, but they spent $50,000 on a costume and they can't find someone to wear it for an NCAA playoff game? No player visuals for the team introduction: this is indefensible, during the pre-game player introductions they sat on a UND logo, no player pictures or names on the big screen - this just screams lazy to me. No senior recognition - I know there are several variables here, not sure who is coming back, usually done at the last regular season game, but come on - this will be the last time some of our seniors play on their home field - no one gave any thought to thanking them on the big screen? I realize players and their parents read here so I want them to know that there are many fans of the football team, but the athletic department really needs to step up their game for sports other than hockey - this is not something new, it has been pointed out for decades.
  22. Didn't take us as long to get recognition in the MVFC as it did in the Big Sky.
  23. I guess we will find out if top level DII players can get us to the top of the Summit. Hoping so.
  24. Someone with a big parking lot needs to arrange for off site taligating!
  25. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/7798429/arkansas-razorbacks-fire-bobby-petrino-coach Wonder if Bobby will ride up on his Harley?
