  1. Lakes idea of alcohol treatment is to get drunk and make an ass out of himself in the parking lot before a game. (As if he needs to get drunk to do that!)
  2. Dude, we're talking about LakesBison.
  3. I wonder if an alcohol treatment center would also provide sufficient mental health care for him?
  4. Wow. 106 pages about NDSU JV football player criminal activity. We must be real bored...
  5. I just read a book called "Only the Ball Was White" by Robert Peterson. It chronicles black players and teams leading up to integration of the major leagues. Very good book. It does mention the Bismarck team, but this article goes into much more detail. I love that picture in the article you posted. The book mentions that there were several integrated teams in the upper midwest, including Jamestown, North Dakota, some in South Dakota and over the border in Canada. Black players moved around much more easily in this part of our country in those days and black barnstorming teams were welcomed in the upper midwest to not only play and thoroughly beat the local teams in the small towns, but to partake in the town picnics after the games. The small towns were thrilled to have players of that caliber come play the locals and even enjoyed whatever antics the barnstorming teams would pull during the games as part of the entertainment. Again, this is a great post Scott! Thanks for sharing. I think this will link to a .pdf file of the book, "Only the Ball Was White": http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=BO2RtomcBOoC&oi=fnd&pg=PA2&dq=only+the+ball+was+white&ots=uLz683KkvG&sig=jVHE-llAFnYVws0BgwnNm9eXJxc
  6. Good post, good points. Agree.
  7. Agree. It's not worth the big paycheck. FCS is what it is. Nothing wrong with it. A good FCS school can beat a bad FBS school, NDSU has proven that a few times. But, taking on a team like Oregon is not a wise move. FCS schools can't afford to lose the starters with the potential injuries. They don't have the depth the big name schools have. That's why the back to back division I champion Alabama Crimson Tide can release players that break the law. They got the bench. Probably why baldie at FU chose not to release his criminals. Mr. Clean chose to keep his criminals so the NCAA can ship another JV championship banner to Grand Forks.
  8. I think he means "Grand Forks University". bFU is ButtFootballUniversity..
  9. j Sorry you are so jealous of the flagship university in the state of North Dakota. Yup, that's the University of North Dakota. The one that didn't need federal legislation of the land grant to be formed. The one that did not lose regional accreditation. The one that consistently ranks above NDAC academically. But, in order for you to understand what I wrote, let me change the article "the" to something you apparently will understand: "Sorry you are so jealous of teh flagship university in teh state of North Dakota. Yup, that's teh University of North Dakota. Teh one that didn't need federal legislation of teh land grant to be formed. Teh one that did not lose regional accreditation. Teh one that consistently ranks above NDAC academically." Don't thank me. UND graduates are always willing to help the less fortunate from NDAC.
  10. Well, in earnings after leaving UND...at least this much...
  11. Trust me, I don't inferior because NDSU has a good JV football team. Did I mention hockey? Oh, yeah. Farming. Okay...I"ll give you that! You know what though, I don't understand why the folks at NDSU don't embrace the old NDAC traditions and try to pretend they are something they are not. Heck, CSU students in Fort Collins totally dig wearing orange and green t-shirts proclaiming themselves as Colorado A & M Aggies. The colors are ugly, but the kids embrace their history. NDSU seems ashamed of theirs. Did I correct my friends? Sure, I did. Heck, I don't want to be associated with NDAC!
  12. I do apologize for any possible truthful reference to the lower quality of education offered at NDAC. I understand that it is painful subject matter to sensitive people with an inferiority complex brought by the only school that has lost regional accreditation in the state of North Dakota.
  13. No, these are the people that don't need their tractor repaired. If they happen to need that, they'll give you a call.
  14. They think that CSU lost to UND in football last season...
  15. I asked a couple of friends here what they thought of Alabama's football scandal and how it compares to NDSU. They never heard of NDSU.
  16. You see, these are former players. I believe by your standards the Alabama Crimson Tide, the back to back Division I football champions are absolved of all wrongdoing. Roll Tide...
  17. I wonder if the Division I National Football Champion Alabama Crimson Tide have this much trouble with their players?
  18. Probably drunk when he posted that garbage. I didnt look at it. We shouldn't give that messageboard any traffic.
  19. That'll bump you up! Hey, did you know that this coming season Colorado State University plays the Division I champions in football. That's right, they play the Alabama Crimson Tide!
  20. You are ranked #57 in the Sagarin rankings of cluelessness. Hey, it's better than my #52 ranking!
  21. Yup. NDSU beat Colorado State and they brag and brag about wins over FBS programs in transition. Yeah, they really hurt CSU... Oh, wait. CSU is getting a new 43,000+ seat stadium on campus... Their coach has a recruiting class that is heads and tails above schools like NDSU: http://www.denverpost.com/csu/ci_22534265/colorado-state-signs-24-mcelwains-second-recruiting-class Yeah...they sure hurt Colorado State...didn't they? Everybody knows that CSU is Mountain West in football. With Boise State (staying..), San Diego State (staying) and the others...hey, things look good. It's nice to be in one conference for football AND basketball. Lessons the confusion over the conferences that NDSU must be in...(Can't remember...is it the Mountain Valley Base Camp Conference in basketball...or football?0 Well, all know is that UND is in one well known FCS conference in football and basketball, the Big Sky! CSU and Wyoming...Mountain West Conference! I get to see them all right here in northern Colorado!
  22. I think that alcoholic bum can even get banned from his own message board.
