  1. Saw Montana play NDSU on Wednesday. Montana has a big man that is very good (and very strong). I think he will be hardbfor the UND big men to handle. But if they can contain him, Montana has next to nothing to go along with him. UND will have a major advantage in all 4 of the other positions. And if Montana is really the favorite to win the league, it looks pretty good for UND tommake some noise in the conference.
  2. Actually, I Would say UND's Wyoming win is similar to NDSU's Kansas, Ball State and maybe Colorado State wins. But no most UND fans did not give NDSU any credit for those wins. I agree UND should have been selected in front of EIU, but I don't think it is the biggest slight in the history of the D1-AA playoff selection. They put themselves in the position of being one of the last one orbtwo in or one of the last one or two out. From there it is a crap shoot. You need to win at least 8 games next year to take it out of the comittees hands. And looking at your schedule, the only possible losses are Bowling Green, Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, and the last two of those are at home. You should not have more than 2 losses on the schedule next year. The top 3 schools in the BSC (UM, EW and Port St) are not on the schedule. You better not have 4 losses with that schedule, or you may be left out again.
  3. The real irony is fans on this board discounting every NDSU FBS win (even the K-State win) and trumpeting the UND win over a Wyoming team that is quite possibly the worst FBS team in the country this year. Fans on this board have been talking for years about how NDSU just knows how to schedule FBS teams at their weakest point and those wins mean nothing.
  4. I just know it wasn't quite as easy as NDSU manhandled their opponent in the Fargodome on Sept 19th.
  5. Amazingly they are!!!
  6. Actually NDSU's record against FBS teams is 8-3, 5-2 against P5 conference schools, but who is counting?
  7. I know I have heard it before. NDSU just knows how to schedule garbage FBS teams that have an entirely new roster. Not everybody can have a win against a Wyoming team with 3/4 of their roster freshmen on their resume as their "signature win". By the way, I'm sure Iowa will be losing all 22 starters this year so when the Bison play a respectable game against them next year they planned it that way. And in 2020 when they play Oregon, they will have an entirely new roster.
  8. Are you serious? From the outside I think Brewster is a very good coach. There is no possible way he is on a luke warm plate considering the leash your men's coach has been given.
  9. Beat any P5 conference team and get back to me. NDSU vs P5 conference teams is 5-2.
  10. Agreed. The world would be a better place with more Bindi Irwins in it.
  11. That is what Tom Miller and Wayne Nelson are reporting, but they may be a bit slanted in their reporting, as it is the Herald after all. I hope the Herald hired someone to clean up all of tears on the floor of Wayne's office. I haven't seen this much crying from a reporter since PA after the VIkings Conf Championship game against the Saints a few years ago.

    2016 Season

If that is an NFL scouts 40 time he is definitely faster than Mays and at least as fast as Humber. It does seem like you can usually add a tenth to the 40 times to the times reported by the colleges compared to the NFL scouts or combine times.

    2016 Season

Humber and Mays are both still in the NFL. I would say he has more of a Mays body and hitting ability but is not as fast or athletic as Humber. His ticket to the league would definitely be special teams. Is he fast enough to cover kicks in the NFL?
  14. WIU beat 3 playoff teams, UND beat one. Where is your case?
  15. That piece of hockey equipment is pretty good. Maybe Bubba should have recruited him. He has a hell of an arm and runs pretty good too.
  16. I don't know. You may have a case over EIU, but everybody seems to be talking about a 6 win WIU team getting in as a travesty when it is not. If you aren't going to take strength of schedule and stength of conference into consideration, then you take a 9 win MEAC team or a 9 win Patriot Team over any 7 or 8 win team from another conference.
  17. And UND with their 61 total yards was competive against NDSU? You are dumb and dumber and dumbest if you think the Fighting Hawks were competive against NDSU.
  18. How about a 9-2 NC A&T or an 8-3 North Carolina Central? Or a 9-2 San Diego or Jacksonville if it all about the number of wins. Have you ever seen an 18-12 major ACC school gat an at large bid over a 26-4 mid major? WIU over UND is the same thing. WIU plays in the toughest FCS conference in the country and was 5-3 in it. They deserve to be in. You may have a case over EIU, but not WIU. They put all 5 MVFC teams on the same side of the bracket because they knew that was the only way to avoid another all MVFC final. They don't want that to happen again.
  19. And your favorite team managed 61 total yards against that same team with a healthy #1 QB. Crazy what happens when you face an actual defense huh?
  20. It really looks bad when your conference champ loses 55-10 to a third place team in the MVFC.
  21. Why wouldn't you want your path to go through NDSU. You guys are playing the best football in the FCS right now.Personally, I believe Northern Arizona should get in before UND. Same conference record and quite frankly, their win over Stephen F. Austin is better than a win over Wyoming. UND played a weak schedule in a weak conference. UNA played more of the top teams in the conference. No way the BSC should get more teams in than the MVFC. UND does not go 5-3 in the MVFC this year.
  22. They were down by 25 late in the game until UW lost interest. It was not a 14 point game. Going into the season I thought perhaps UND's talent may be too much for NDSU to overcome when they play, but I'm not too worried after watching tonight. I would give UND 10 points for the home court, but Richman vs Jones in coaching may be worth 20 for NDSU, so I see about a 10 point NDSU win.
  23. You do have a very good run defense, which would serve you well in the MVFC. However, UND is in the Big Sky, and against the top teams in the BSC, your lack of a pass defense is going to get you killed. UND has to stop making it a priority to build their team around stopping the Bison. This isn't the 80's and 90's anymore. Being a run oriented offense in the BSC will help, but you need to build your defense on getting pressure on the QB and having safeties that can cover not just make the big hit.
  24. I agree overall SDSU is better than UND right now. SDSU's offense is better than UND's but UND's defense is better than SDSU's (and that isn't even close). I do think that they may have gotten a little vanilla on offense after going up 28-0 in the 3rd quarter, plus they fumbled a couple of times. The margin could have easily been greater against SDSU than UND.
  25. Not true. The Summit has your rival Denver(who is actually more your rival than any BSC school).
